La cabaña terminada/ The finished cabin

Hola,

I hope you are all well and thank you for your kind comments, they are appreciated and I enjoy reading them very much.

As I said, I have finished the cabin and now I am a bit nostalgic. The good thing is that I will be able to continue contemplating it whenever I want and I will surely add something else in the future.

In the previous post I showed you the finished porch but with no decoration, now I bring you some photos of how it has turned out.

Let´s remember first the kit I used to make this cabin.

Now the photos. Let me warn you that I am posting many photos, but they are the last and my excuse is that this blog is the memory storage of all my projects.

Seizing the good light, I took some more photos of the interior:

Suddenly I have remembered that the purpose of this post is to show you the entire cabin but with its inhabitants inside. Thankfully, Manuel and Gertrudis have gladly allowed me to photograph them in their daily lives.

I was able to refine those little details that give so much charm, and as you can see, the cups are not empty anymore, now Manuel and Gertrudis are enjoying a delicious freshly made coffee (or chocolate, perhaps?).

Another thing that I had to refine, the cat´s bowl with milk bothered me, milk does not sit well with adult cats, cat food is much better. Now it is corrected!

And if the day is cool, why not light the fire?

And now the couple enjoying their porch:

Y cuando cae la tarde...

And when evening falls ...

Y llega la noche:

And the night comes:

And that's it !! From now on Manuel and Gertrudis will be able to enjoy their cabin at any time of the year and at any time of the day. I hope you liked this project and enjoyed it at least a little. I really enjoyed it and I am satisfied with the result.

And now what comes? I already have plans, but I'll tell you about that in another post.

Cuidaros mucho por favor. Hasta pronto! Take good care of yourselves, please. See you soon!

Alex 😘😘😘

  10. I really love this cabin. The porch turned out to be an invaluable part of the cabin. The photos too, show a story of how contented an old couple can live in a quiet and safe and peaceful environment.

  12. The kit you used as a base for this log cabin is unrecognisable, Alex, I think I can better say that you changed it into something much more wonderful!! It's nice that you have so much fun in creating this cabin and this shows of.
Manuel and Gertrudis will be over the moon with their new home, which is surrounded by so much green plants, I 'm sure they love it to be there ;)! I enjoyed seeing each one of all these pictures which give us a good idea of their daily life. And what to say about the lots of detailed miniatures and furniture you show us. I love that sigaret in Gertrudis mouth corner :) and Manuel seems to me a very good and peaceful man, with his sweet smiling face.
So nice to show us pictures when the light are on in the evening and at night. The whole cabin inside and outside is great work, Alex, Manuel and Gertrudis will happily live there ever after.
Stay safe, take care, dear Alex!
    Besos/Hugs, Ilona

  16. You don't need an excuse when showing a some new pictures of this wonderful project! ;O) You've worked magic with this kit and I really liked to see all of this together with the happy owners. Many thanks to Manuel and Gertrudis for allowing you to take these pictures... but on the other hand - they owe you for building them such a lovely, cozy and inviting home. Btw I'm glad that you've changed the cat's milk to food as I suppose a well feed cat is some kind of a life insurance for the parrot. ;O)

    Hugs
Birgit (who is already curious what you're going to do next)

  17. A dollhouse is never really finished. In time, you will definitely want to move things around and add bits here and there.
    I love the porch furnishings.
