Hola!

He terminado!!

I've been on vacation for 10 days ending today and I've had time for everything. I spent a few days resting in a spectacular place, las calas de Roche in Conil de la Frontera, Spain. A magnificent hotel and a few days of relaxation, beach, breeze and sea! What more could I ask for? I cannot resist showing you a picture of this beautiful place, even the weather confabulated and we had  beautiful days.

So I returned home with renewed energy ready to finish Rebecca's house.  As this is the last post of this house I have a lot of pictures. I confess that I still need to do the front door and the annex door to the kitchen and as I said, more flowers and leaves for my wisteria. But I already have another project in mind and I will be doing the little that is missing in small breaks from my next project.

Primero quiero mostrarles cómo era la casa cuando la compré 13 meses atrás/ First, I want to show you how was the house when I bought it 13 months ago:

Y sin más preámbulos, las fotos/ And without more bla, bla, bla, the photos:

El tejado que hice con cartón, mi técnica habitual, pintura, un poco de musgo y poco más/  I made the roof with cardboard and my usual technique, paint, a bit of moss and little else.

La fachada y jardín/ The facade and the garden:

Quite rightly, Birgit said that a garden without birds is not completed. Well, I already had it in mind and with some fimo and paintings I made my little birds, which will not be perfect but they are very cute. Can you see them? There are also some butterflies. And a little bird house that I made and decorated too.

Les conté que el jardín es de quita y pon/ As I told you the garden is removable::

Y ahora el interior/ And now the interior:

Maybe you can realize that in some rooms I have added extra details that I had not shown before. Like this rubbish bin I made myself with corrugated cardboard.

Trying to find a suitable place to take photos (my minis´room has only artificial light) I have taken the house to the terrace and unfortunately the available place (with the sun behind) and my photographic skills prevented me from avoiding the annoying reflection of so much light. Lol, you cannot have everything I guess.

It took me 13 months to complete this house. The previous one only took 5. However, I had a great time and I enjoyed it a lot. And I think almost, almost, the house has turned out as I pictured it in my mind. Thank you for joining me in this adventure, your company has been one of the best things of these last 13 months.

Pronto les contaré acerca de mi próximo proyecto/ Soon I will let you know about my next project.

Un abrazo/ Big hugs.

Alex.

  12. I just can't say it enough - I Love Rebecca's house! It is filled in every corner with delightful details and interesting fixtures. I love the combinations of wall and furnishing colors in every room, and all of the charming nuances that come together to make it a place to want to look at, live in and be. Rebecca is so lucky to have been given everything a little person needs to be happy and hopeful. Wonderful job, Alex! I am so excited to take another look at the photos, and to see what's next in that creative mind of yours!

Y gracias :)

  17. What exactly do you mean with "last post" regarding this terrific house??? *LOL* This is kind of sad because I really enjoyed to follow your steps and see your newest additions. It's incredible that it took you ONLY (!) 13 months to realize all of this - you've made a wonderful, wonderful job. It's so nice to see Rebecca enjoying her lovely home, no wonder she's smiling so happily. And yes… now I can hear the birds sing... ;O)

    Besos
Birgit (who is really curious to see your next project)
