La casa de Tulio y Carmen: el baño y el salón/ Tulio and Carmen house: the bathroom and living room

Hola!!

Ahora sí, empezando a retomar la rutina del 2020. Luego de dedicarme a otros mini proyectos, retomo la casa de Tulio y Carmen, aunque todavía los avances no son muchos.

He estado trabajando en las áreas de la 1ª planta, ya saben suelos, paredes, papeles etc.

Para el baño me he decidido por un papel en azul a juego con las piezas de baño que tengo:

Now, I am starting to fall into the routine of 2020. After working on other mini projects, I´m back to Tulio and Carmen´s house. However, there is some progress but not much.

I have been working in the 1st floor, floors, walls, papers etc.

For the bathroom I have decided on a blue paper as it matches the bathroom pieces that I have:

He decidido poner un arco divisorio en el área de la bañera. Estos son los muebles que llevará pero el mueble de madera debo aún tunearlo a juego con los colores del baño.

Notáis algo? Yo solo lo hice cuando vi la foto!!! El papel del arco quedó en una dirección incorrecta, menos mal que solo era una prueba y pude corregirlo.

Para el salón me he decidido también por un papel en azul con un diseño un poco oriental.

I have decided to put a dividing arch in the the bathtub area. This is the furniture I will use but the wooden piece must be customised to match the bathroom colours. 

Do you notice anything? I only did it when I saw the picture !!! The arch paper was in the wrong direction, thankfully it was just a test and I could correct it.

For the living room I have also decided on a blue paper with an oriental design.

He puesto una pared divisoria que llevará puertas falsas, tal como hice en la cocina y el comedor.

I have put a dividing wall that will have false doors, just like I did in the kitchen and dining room.

Busqué e imprimí unas imágenes de puertas en Google y las puse a ambos lados en el mismo sitio. Luego puse marcos y un pomo y a me encanta como quedaron, en realidad se ven muy reales, aun mejor que en las fotos. Para ser unas puertas falsas no están nada mal! Y de paso ahorré algún esfuerzo y dinero, jaja.

I searched and printed some door images on Google and glued them on both sides in the same place. Then I put frames and a doorknob. I love them, in reality they look very real and much better than in the photos. To be fake doors, the are not bad at all! And I saved a lot of effort and some money, lol.

Los pomos dan un toque muy real! También los puse en las puertas de la planta baja.

The knobs give a very real touch! I also put them on the ground floor doors.  

Como saben, también decidí no poner escaleras sino simular que están allí, así que debía instalar otra pared en la parte trasera del salón simulando el hueco de la escalera. Todavía no decido si lo cierro por el lateral y pongo puerta que eran mis planes originales pues el efecto creado con solo una pared me gusta. Lo pensaré un poco más.

As you know, I also decided not to put stairs but to pretend they are there, so I had to install another wall at the back of the room simulating the stairwell space. I cannot decide if I should put another wall on the side and put a door as my original plans were, because I like the effect created with only one wall. I´ll think a bit more about it.

No hay nada pegado aun y menos mal pues la pared está torcida. Faltan los suelos, lámparas, y otros detalles finales, voy avanzando lento pero seguro.

There is nothing glued yet, which is good as the wall is not straight. The floors, lamps, and other final details are missing, I am moving slowly but surely.

Por otro lado no sé si se habrán dado cuenta pero el pasado 16 de enero este blog cumplió su 3er año y siempre lo celebro, aunque tarde, esta vez no será la excepción.

Sin embargo se me ha ocurrido hacerlo de un modo diferente. Lo más importante de un blog son sin duda sus seguidores, no hay mejor incentivo para un bloguero que los comentarios que nuestros seguidores nos dejan. Por lo tanto he decidido homenajear a mis seguidores más fieles y de las 27 entradas que hice desde enero 2019 hasta la fecha, hacer un sorteo entre aquellos que han dejado comentarios en 20 de estas entradas o más.

On another topic, I do not know if you have noticed but this blog 3rd anniversary was on January 16 and I always celebrate it. Although late, this time will not be the exception.

Un nuevo año/ A New Year

Feliz 2020 para todos!! Happy 2020 to all of you!!

Como ya es costumbre en nuestros blogs, comienzo el año mostrando los regalos recibidos y enviados. No sé a ustedes, pero a mí los regalos que más ilusión me hacen y más me alegran son las miniaturas.

As usual in our blogs, I start the year showing the gifts received and sent. I don't know about you but to me the gifts that make me more excited and happier are miniatures.

Empiezo mostrando el regalo de Birgit, como siempre con muchas minis preciosas, y deliciosas también. Aquí en la foto los riquísimos mazapanes de chocolate se habían extinguido por cuenta de mi goloso marido que no quiso esperar para la foto jeje. Mil gracias Birgit, tus minis son preciosas y aun más el sentimiento que las acompaña.

I start by showing Birgit's gift, as always with many beautiful minis, and delicious things too. Here in the photo the yummy chocolate marzipans were gone thanks to my sweet husband who did not want to wait for the photo lol. Thank you very much Birgit, your minis are beautiful and even more the feeling that accompanies them.

También me llegó otra sorpresa, un precioso surtido de miniaturas made by Carmen. Creo que tengo una copia de cada calendario desde que empezó a hacerlos, lo cual me llena de orgullo. Mil gracias Carmen, te agradezco de corazón!!

I also received another surprise, a beautiful assortment of miniatures made by Carmen. I think I have a copy of each calendar since she started making them; that makes me proud. Thank you Carmen, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Y ahora les muestro los que he hecho y enviado yo. Es curioso pero en Navidad me pica mucho el gusanillo de las minis y me dan muchas ganas de trabajar en ellas. Me hace ilusión pensar en qué puedo hacer para regalar y enviar a algunas compañeras de este mundo.

And now I show you what I have made and sent. It's funny but at Christmas the miniature bug is very itchy and I really want to work on minis. It makes me excited to think about what I can do to give and send to some friends from this world.

Ya sabemos del amor de Fluby por las fresas, lo cual me animó a hacer mi primera tartaleta de fresas en fimo, no quedó tan mal, pero olvidé ponerle el lazo que normalmente llevan!

We already know about Fluby's love for strawberries, which encouraged me to make my first strawberry shortcake in fimo, it didn't look too bad, but I forgot to put the ribbon they normally have!

También se me ocurrió la idea de miniaturizar el calendario que nos envía Birgit cada año, de los cuales también tengo ya varios ejemplares de ediciones pasadas. Este es el resultado. A Birgit le gustaron mucho, lo cual me alegra, pues era mi intención agradecer con este pequeño gesto lo especial que ella nos hace la Navidad.

I also came up with the idea of ​​miniaturise (is that a word?) the calendar that Birgit sends us every year, of which I also have copies from past editions. This is the result. Birgit liked them a lot, which makes me happy, because it was my intention to thank her with this little gesture for how special  she makes Christmas for us.

Pueden ver que hice 3 modelos, al final no le envié a Birgit el modelo original con espiral, porque quedó un poco defectuoso jajaj, y ese me lo quedé para mí. Luego leí, que la clave es poner un palillo cuando vas enrollando la espiral, habrá que intentarlo nuevamente.

You can see that I made 3 models. In the end I did not send Birgit the original spiral model because it was a bit defective lol, so I kept that one for me. Then I read that the key is to put a toothpick when you wind the spiral, I´ll might have to try again.

Las velas que muestro a continuación las hice yo, fue un pequeño experimento que hice con pajillas y cera cuando estaba buscando ideas para mi tutorial del calendario de Adviento. Al final me decidí por otra cosa, pero me pareció que las velas harían un regalo gracioso. Por cierto, al enviarlas tuve que despegarlas de sus platillos, así que ya saben, se supone que van sobre el plato y perdonad las marcas que dejaron!!

The candles, that I show next, were made by me. It was a small experiment I made with straws and wax when I was looking for ideas for my Advent calendar tutorial. In the end I decided on something else, but I thought the candles would make a cute gift. By the way, to send them I had to take them off their plates, so you know, they are supposed to go on the plate and forgive the marks they left !!

La bandeja se supone que es un pequeño adorno para el baño, con jabón, esponja y sales de baño.

Espero les haya gustado, están hechos con mucho cariño.

The tray is supposed to be a small ornament for the bathroom, with soap, sponge and bath salts.

Este año también participé en el Christmas swap del grupo de Facebook All things Mini. A mi me tocó enviarle a Caroline H. Caroline es muy talentosa, sus miniaturas son de quedarse con la boca abierta, nivel PRO. Hace de todo, muñecos, escenas, fimo, y mucho más. Sus temas preferidos son la fantasía, magia etc. Después de intercambiar un par de mensajes me di cuenta que sería un gran desafío, no solo por su talento sino porque nunca he hecho nada relativo a dicha temática.

Al final esto le envié (sin la mesa):

This year I also participated in the Christmas swap of the Facebook group All things Mini. I had to send to Caroline H. Caroline is very talented, her miniatures blow you away,  level PRO. She does everything, dolls, scenes, fimo, and much more. Her favourite subjects are fantasy, magic etc. After exchanging a couple of messages I realised that it would be a great challenge, not only because of her talent but because I have never done anything related to this subjects.

In the end this I sent (without the table):

Yo hice/decoré la tetera, las bolas de cristal, los frascos de pociones, el cuadro, la planta mandrágora y la flor. Mi marido hizo el cerebro y por supuesto las frutas y vegetales que aun me quedan. Y en Kensington le compré el hongo (tiene un nombre que no recuerdo) y la pequeña cobra de porcelana.

I made / decorated the teapot, the cristal balls, the potion bottles, the picture, the mandrake plant and the flower. My husband made the brain and of course the fruit and vegetables which I still have some left. And in Kensington I bought the mushroom (it has a name I don't remember) and the little porcelain cobra.

Y yo recibí de parte de Caroline este hermoso gatillo, que fue amor a primera vista, es precioso!!!! No pude quedar más encantada 😍😍😍

And I received from Caroline this beautiful cat, it was love at first sight, it is beautiful !!!! I could not be more delighted 😍😍😍

Y ahora les muestro los regalos que me hice a mí misma. Cómo si no fuera suficiente con los regalos y la feria de Kensington, etc., noviembre y diciembre me pillaron hambrienta de minis y no pude evitar hacerme unos auto-regalos vía Etsy o ebay.

And now I want to show you the presents I gave to myself. As if it were not enough with the gifts, the Kensington Fair, etc. November and December caught me hungry for minis and I couldn't help giving myself these gifts via Etsy or ebay.

Estas teteras de Ursul-brow (no sé su nombre real, solo el que muestra ebay) son para alucinar con el nivel de detalle. Además tetera + gatos, imposible resistirme!!

These teapots from Ursul-brow (I dont know the real name, only the ebay name), they are to hallucinate with the level of detail. Teapots + cats, impossible to resist them!

Unos figurines para la casa de Carmen y Tulio. Una casa de este estilo sin figuras de porcelana no existe, eran el orgullo de las abuelas!! Estas son de MyMiniatureWorldShop  y me encantaron, el nivel de detalle es fantástico.

Some figurines for Carmen and Tulio´s house. A house of this style without porcelain figurines does not exist, they were the pride of our grandmothers!! These are from MyMiniatureWorldShop and I loved them, the level of detail is fantastic.

Y por supuesto, otra de mis pasiones, los platos decorativos. Estos son de Twelvetimesmoreteeny a quien he comprado antes y siempre he quedado súper satisfecha, tiene cientos de modelos y si fuese millonaria creo que los compraría todos!!

And of course, another of my passions, decorative plates. These are by Twelvetimesmoreteeny who I have bought from before and I have always been super satisfied. She has hundreds of models and if I were a millionaire I think I would buy them all !!

Los siguientes los compré gracias a que seguí un enlace que puso Birgit en su blog y quedé tan encantada que cedí a la tentación y compré estos maravillosos Santa Claus. Son de Georgiamarfels y son súper chiquitines y maravillosos.

I bought the following ones because I followed a link that Birgit put on her blog and I was so delighted that I gave in to temptation and bought these wonderful Santa Claus. They are by Georgiamarfels,  super tiny and wonderful.

Por último participé en la subasta que hace Chiqui Cueto en Facebook en favor de la Asociacion Protectora de animales de Asturias y tuve la fortuna de ganar, lo que posiblemente es mi mayor tesoro miniaturil. No pude resistirme a pujar cuando lo vi!! y si de paso ayudas con una buena causa, perfecto.

Es una obra de arte. Pongo mi manicura festiva para que tengan idea del tamaño, las muñecas son más pequeñas que mi uña. ALUCINANTE.

Finally I participated in the auction that Chiqui Cueto does in Facebook in favor of the Asturias Animal Protection Association and I was fortunate to win, which is possibly my greatest miniature treasure. I could not resist bidding when I saw it !! and if it helps a good cause, win-win.

It is a work of art. I am showing off my festive manicure so you have an idea of ​​the size, the dolls are smaller than my nail. AMAZING.
