November has arrived, the year has passed like a sigh. And with November my birthday arrives, on the 29th I will be 48 years old. I do not usually celebrate it, however I have been doing a giveaway the last 2 years for my birthday and this one can not be the exception. The idea is being a follower, to make a comment in this post and in all this month´s posts. This time I will not use a number generator, but I will print and cut all the comments from this month entries, so that a person can have more than one opportunity if he / she makes comments in several posts. Anyway, I will only include the non-repeated comments of each entry, so we do not go crazy ha!. I will also try to add new gifts in each entry. For now, we start with this:
My little plants made with "flower soft", this time planted in decent pots :) as my followers deserve something better, and the most beautiful lamp-teapot I made (in my opinion).
Well, sign up with a comment please. On the 29th I will make the draw.
A otra cosa.
To another thing. In a past entry I told you that the terraces of my Andalusian house had become a mess and that I was also working on updating the house a bit, as it was somewhat neglected after moving it from its original place.
My Andalusian house is my first house here in Spain, I have shown it before but not in the blog and I received a lot of help from my husband, floors and walls and he even built an extension as the original house was smaller.
You can see that I was only starting, although I am still just an apprentice, but I think I have made some progress, I'd better. The fact is that this house was not made with any idea or style in mind, I simply bought and put things, but I did many others because I wanted to learn to make my own minis. So you can see my first ornaments, plants, lamps, dishes, etc. I tried to respect its Andalusian style, most of the furniture is of an old style, what I could find. The decoration shows a mix of old and modern and because I had no idea that other houses would follow, I put also in this house things that I like and I identify with. There are also things I got from swaps with fellow members of the forum .
I am trying to summarise, believe me. The fact is that after a while I decided to remove the things that I did not like, especially some from my beginnings, to give a little more coherence to the decoration without altering to a greater extent the fact that It is my first house. That is why I have left some things that are not very pretty maybe but that show my beginnings. In the end, I would say that it is the house that someone has inherited from their parents and that little by little they are introducing small changes.
Let me show you:
Remember the disaster that this terrace was?
I decided to just update a bit the climbing plant using moss (I did not have enough material to make it just moss) and put some plants and some food on the table (they are Paloma´s) and that's it. The chairs are from Carmen and I love them!
El resto de la casa. El baño:
The rest of the house. The bathroom:
La cocina/ The kitchen:
La habitación/ The bedroom:
El salón/ The living room:
El comedor, que va en la parte añadida/ The dinning room which is located on the addition of the house:
La única habitación de bebé que he hecho y ya os he mostrado/ The only baby´s room I have ever made which I showed you before:
And the family room, which is the most modern and eclectic part of the house and for which I made my first sofas :)
Y aquí la casa completa/ This is the whole house:
It's not bad, I think. I need only to make the last terrace and the planters but for now they can wait. Do you like it?
See you in the next post in which I will add other gifts. Do not forget to make a comment and thank you for your support. Big hug.
Alex.
