De vuelta a la normalidad, esta parece ser la frase de estos días y con tanta razón. Se disfrutan las fiestas, pero también recibimos con alivio la vuelta a la rutina, yo me incluyo en este grupo.

Back to normal, this seems to be the phrase of these days and with so much reason. Holidays are enjoyable, but we also are relieve to be back to the routine, I included myself in this group.

Antes de seguir con nuestro mini trabajo, quiero mostraros otros regalos que recibí en estas fechas. Empiezo:
Before continuing with our mini work, I want to show you other gifts that I received on these dates. Let me start:

Este regalo me lo envió mi hija pequeña, sabe cuánto me gustan las minis y pensó que lo mejor sería un mini regalo, chica lista! Las cosas no están hechas por ella, no pertenece al mundo de las minis, sino que las compro en Etsy y me encantaron! El cojín es una pequeña maravilla. Gracias hija!

This gift was sent to me by my youngest daughter, she knows how much I like minis so she thought that the best thing would be a mini gift, smart girl! Things are not made by her, she doesn´t belong to the world of minis, so she bought them on Etsy and I loved them! The cushion is a little wonder. Thank you daughter!

También recibí estas bellezas de Carolina, awww, son tan diminutas y preciosas, un portavelas y una libreta de notas de cocina. Gracias Caro!

El sorteo que gané en el blog de Carmen, se demoró tanto que ya Carmen lo daba por perdido y empezó a hacer otro que volvió a sortear en su blog. Como dicen por ahí, no hay mal que por bien no venga, la tardanza de este paquete (más de un mes creo!!) hizo que haya otra afortunada ganadora de estas bellezas. No os miento, ya lo saben, las miniaturas de Carmen son preciosas!! Suerte la mía. Sus cintas son del otro mundo:

The giveaway that I won on Carmen's blog, was delayed so much that Carmen already gave it up for lost and started making another one that then she gave away again on her blog. As they say out there, every cloud has a silver lining; the delay of this package (more than a month I think!) Made another lucky winner of these beauties. I do not lie to you, you know, Carmen's miniatures are beautiful! Lucky me. Her "cinta" plant is out of this world:

You see? I am soooo happy. I have a few of these plants made by Carmen and I could have a hundred and I still would want more, as they are so wonderful! Thank you Carmen!

Os había contado que estaba participando en dos juegos de Navidad. Uno en el grupo de Facebook "All things Mini" donde hicimos un intercambio de Navidad. A mi me tocó hacerlo con Sharon, una chica encantadora con quien no solo intercambiamos regalos sino que nos hemos convertido en amigas :) Su regalo para mí:

Mi amiga invisible, a quien me tocaba enviarle regalo fue Kittymiau, y como dijo que entre sus planes estaba una tienda infantil, le hice algunas cosillas, os muestro:

The friend I had to send a gift to was Kittymiau, and as she said that among her plans there was a children's shop, I made some things for it, let me show you:

Las repisas son compradas, pero las pinté de blanco. Las flores y el florero también son comprados pero intenté hacer un bonito arreglo con ellas, y lo demás lo hice yo.

The shelves are bought, but I painted them in white. The flowers and vase are also bought but I tried to make a nice arrangement with them; the rest you see was made by me.

Como ven fue una época miniaturil muy fructífera, no he podido recibir mejores regalos ni pasarla mejor. Ahora sí de vuelta a la rutina, ya vendré por aquí nuevamente con los avances de mi casa.

As you can see, it was a very fruitful miniaturial period, I could not receive better gifts or had a better time. Now, back to the routine, I will come here again with the advances of my house.

Mmmm, en pocos días este blog cumple 1 año!! Habrá que hacer algo, no?

Ires y venires/ Coming and going

Hello everybody!!!

Espero que estéis disfrutando al máximo del verano. Yo, como ya os dije, trabajando unas horitas más, pero se acostumbra una; a lo que me he ido desacostumbrando, los años no vienen solos ja! es al calor y eso que vengo del trópico donde es verano todo el año. Cada año que pasa el calor me afecta más, lo que se traduce en pocas energías para las minis.

I hope you are all enjoying summer. As I told you, I am working more hours now but I get used to it, what I cannot get used to is to the heat. I think I am getting old because even though I am from a tropical place  where it is summer the whole year, every summer now I tolerate heat a bit less, so I have had very little energy for minis.

Sin embargo, algo se ha hecho y entre cosas que no había publicado aun, aprovecho para mostraros los ires y venires de minis de un tiempo para acá:

Este es un inter que hice hace algún tiempo con Mariangeles. Cuando vi esos botes tan preciosos que hace no me resistí. Ella no tenía preferencias, le gusta todo me dijo, así que le envié un pequeño lote de algunas de mis cositas y aproveché para enviarle la caja de frutas que ella ganó y fue mi aporte en el sorteazo del foro. Por supuesto los botes no llegaron solos sino con muchas cositas para adornar mis cocinas y casas. Las fotos son de Mariángeles que tomé prestadas de su blog, pues tiene mucho arte para las fotos, mucho más que yo, si no comprobadlo :)

This is a swap I had with Mariangeles a while ago. When I saw the wonderful jars she made, I could not resist them. 

She didn´t ask for anything in particular, so I sent her some of my minis, together with the present I made for "el Sorteazo" of the forum (A Big draw game) which she won: the fruit box. She sent me the jars, but of course, they did not arrive alone but with many things for my kitchens and houses. 

The photos belong to Mariangeles, I borrowed them from her blog. You can see that she takes wonderful photos, much better than mine:

En esta ocasión tuve mucha suerte en el Sorteazo del foro, pues de las 4 ediciones anteriores, solo gané un premio en la primera edición, de resto me fui en blanco. Sin embargo, en esta quinta edición tuve la suerte de ganar no una vez, sino dos. El primer premio fue un adorable perrito, con su camita y su tazón, que Mariblanca personalizó para mí con el nombre de mi querido Billy. Además me envió un felpudo muy gracioso de regalo extra. ¡Una monada de premio!

This time I had a lot of luck in the game (el sorteazo). Before, I only won once on the first edition of the game. However in this 5th edition I not only won once but twice! The first price I won was a very nice set of a dog, its bed and bowl that Mariblanca made especially with the name of my dear Billy. She also sent a lovely welcoming mat as an extra! What a gift!

Y el segundo, fue la aportación de Fesaba, una maravilla de estantería en forma de casita que es de quedarse con la boca abierta. No contenta con eso, me envió unos adornillos para la casita y una alfombra de ensueño. ¡¡Suerte la mía!!

The second price I won was Fesaba´s price, a wonderful house shaped bookcase that leaves you speechless. Not happy with that she also sent some decoration for the bookcase and a beautiful rug. I am a lucky girl.

Más recientemente hice un intercambio con Paloma, ella nos maravilló en su blog con un surtido de delicias para la cocina y como yo necesito cositas para la cocina de Rebeca le sugerí un inter. Me envió un maravilloso surtido de cosas para la cocina y otras cosillas más y yo le envié también otro pequeño surtido especialmente de plantas. Me quedé feliz con este inter :)

Recently I had a swap with Paloma. She amazed us with an assortment of kitchen supplies and food that she showed on her blog. I needed things to fill Rebecca´s kitchen so I offered her a swap. She sent many things for my kitchen but also some material as well and I sent her some of the things I made, especially plants. I was a happy girl with this swap :)

Cuando empecé a hacer las gallinitas, me entraron ganas de hacer unas para la cocina de Rebeca. Esto salió/ When I started to make the chickens I wanted to make some for Rebecca´s kitchen, so I made these:

¿No son maravillosos los intercambios? Yo los disfruto muchísimo. He tenido la suerte de añadir maravillosas minis a mi colección de esta manera, pero sobre todo lo que más me maravilla es la generosidad de mis compis miniaturistas, siempre recibo más de lo esperado, lo cual me hace muy feliz, aunque también me da un poco de verguenza por lo que intento, lo mejor que puedo, corresponder de la mejor manera.

Aren´t swaps wonderful? I enjoy them so much. I have been so lucky to get amazing miniatures this way. But what amazes me the most is how generous are my miniature fellow friends. I always get more than I expect, which makes me very happy but also a bit embarrassed, so I try my best to reciprocate their generosity the best I can.
