Hola,

Casi no llego hoy, la vida real que se interpone con mil cosas por hacer.

Pero, siempre lo digo, lo prometido es deuda así que aquí estoy.

Es todo por hoy, a diferencia del año anterior, este año podré acompañar a mi marido a visitar a su hermana enferma y podré también pasar la Navidad con mi hija pequeña en Londres, yupiii. Estoy muy feliz pero con miles de cosas que hacer antes de viajar.

Si no os puedo ver antes por aquí os deseo unas felices fiestas y el mejor año por venir.

Calendario de Adviento/ Advent Calendar

Centros de mesa navideños/ Christmas centerpieces::

Esta es mi primera participación en el Calendario de Adviento de Matxalen y espero no defraudar.

Os traigo unos centros navideños muy fáciles de hacer, quedan muy monos, creo yo, y podéis utilizar cosillas que tengáis en casa.

This is my first participation in Matxalen´s Advent Calendar and I hope not to disappoint.

I am bringing some Christmas centerpieces which are very easy to make. They are very cute, I think, and you can use things you have at home.

Materiales/Materials:

Para la base, platillos o aros (este es de un llavero) o cualquier abalorio que os sirva para este propósito. También velas, las delgadas que he utilizado son compradas, pero se pueden usar palillos de dientes, unas más gruesas hechas con bollillos de manualidades de madera, o de cera. Estas de cera son regalo de Teresa y podéis encontrar tutoriales en Internet para hacerlas.

For the base, metal plates or rings (this is a keychain) or any trinket that serves as your base. Also candles, the thin ones that I have used are bought, but you can use toothpicks, thicker ones made with wooden crafts, or wax candles. These wax candles are a gift from Teresa and you can find tutorials on the Internet to make them.

Para el relleno: licopodio, musgo, arena de colores, flower soft etc.
For the filling: lycopodium, moss, coloured sand, flower soft etc.

Para adornar, cosas varias como flores, o cuentas. Yo tenía estas bolas de navidad en miniatura, pero son perfectas las de los collares que venden en los bazares para adornar el árbol de Navidad. O podéis usar cuentas de perlas y pintarlas en colores metálicos con esmalte de uñas.

To decorate, use various things like flowers, or beads. I had these Christmas balls in miniature, but string pearls used to decorate Christmas trees are perfect . Also you can use single pearl beads and paint them in metallic colours with nail polish.

Es muy fácil, pegad las velas en la base en el sitio que os guste.

It is very easy, stick the candles on the base as you like.

En este caso he puesto primero unos tapones de pendientes y unos pequeños entre-cuentas como soporte de las velas. También he usado una base distinta, rectangular de madera. El punto es ir dejando fluir las ideas.

In the model below I have used some earring back pieces and some small spacers as support for the candles. I have also used a different base, a rectangular wooden one. The point is to let ideas flow.

Luego rellenad con el musgo y recortad el exceso.

Then fill with the moss and trim the excess.

Añadir puntos de pegamento aquí y allá para agregar el polvo de papel o arena de colores. También he puesto unas piñas miniatura que he cortado aun más pequeñas.

Add glue dots here and there to apply flower soft or coloured sand. I have also put some miniature pine cones that I have cut even smaller.

Y luego decorar a vuestro gusto con lo que tengáis a mano, yo he utilizado además pequeñas perlitas blancas y doradas y abalorios varios.

And then decorate to your liking with what you have on hand. I have also used small white and gold pearls and other beads.

Ya os muestro el resultado. Primero quiero mostraros otro modelo más moderno.

El aro de un llavero, cuentas en colores coordinados (las de los collares de navidad) y pegamento para metal.

I will show you the result. But first I want to show you a more modern model.

The ring of a key chain, beads in coordinated colours (those of the Christmas strings) and glue for metal.

                                       

Pegáis las cuentas intercalando colores y luego en los espacios pegáis cuentas aun más pequeñas, así:

Glue the beads interchanging colours and then glue even smaller beads on the spaces like this:

Ahora os muestro los modelos que hice y que han servido para decorar mis diferentes casitas.

Un tutorial un poco imperfecto quizás, iba un poco a mi bola, pero con la idea de mostraros que con materiales que todas tenemos y solo un poco de creatividad se pueden hacer adornos navideños muy bonitos para nuestras casitas, en este caso centros de mesa. Espero haberos dado alguna idea que os sirva.

A far from perfect tutorial perhaps, I was a little bit on my own world here, but with the idea of showing you that with materials that we all have and just a bit of creativity we can make very nice Christmas decorations for our houses, centerpieces in this case. I hope I have given you an idea you can use.
