Creo que lo que más me cuesta cuando tengo un nuevo proyecto es empezar. Una vez logro vencer la pereza y la indecisión me vuelvo más juiciosa y voy haciendo avances.
Os había contado que estaba en la etapa de planeación e inspiración. Ya tengo el estilo definido: una casa en una paleta de colores limitada, blanco, azul, un poco de negro, oro, bronce y verde (por las plantas). Un tipo de decoración propia de una casa actual, moderna o contemporánea. Pero no os imaginéis que por ser moderna utilizaré los muebles de extraños diseños que consideramos "muebles modernos" en este mundo miniaturil. Bueno, quizás solo un poco.
The most difficult thing for me when I have a new project is to start. Once I manage to overcome laziness and indecision I become more disciplined and make progress.
I had told you that I was in the planning and inspiration stage. I already have the defined style: a house in a limited colour palette, white, blue, a little black, gold, bronze and green (for the plants). A type of decoration typical of a current, modern and contemporary house. But do not imagine that being modern I will use furniture of exotic designs that we consider "modern furniture" in this miniature world. Well, maybe just a bit.

También intento con esta casa como con todas, utilizar al máximo las cosas que tengo, aprovechándolas y evitando, si puedo, comprar nuevas cosas. Lo hago por varios motivos, primero por economía por supuesto, segundo porque me obliga a ser creativa y tercero por ecología, intento desperdiciar lo menos posible.
I am also trying with this house as I did with the others, to make the most of the things I already have, using them and avoiding, if I can, buying new things. I do it for several reasons, first to save money of course, secondly because it forces me to be creative and thirdly for ecology, I try to waste as little as possible.

Mucho de creatividad, economía y ecología pero para la cocina me tocó comprar ésta de segunda mano porque lo que tengo no me servía. Sin embargo no trajo ni fregadero ni estufa. Para la estufa me ingeniaré una vitro cerámica y el fregadero tendré que hacerlo de cero al igual que la campana extractora. Ya veremos. Ah, la lavadora se convertirá en otro electrodoméstico. 😤
Talking about creativity, savings and ecology but for the kitchen I had to buy this second-hand set because what I had did not work for me. However, it came without a sink and a cooker. For the cooker I will build a ceramic hob and I will make the sink from scratch as well as the extractor hood. We'll see. Ah, the washing machine will become another household appliance. 😤
La primera decisión que tomé y me costó mucho fue prescindir de las escaleras muy a mi pesar. Quería que esta casa las tuviera pero no quise sacrificar el espacio necesario, así que escaleras OUT!
Esta será más o menos la distribución (hacer caso omiso de los muebles). Habrá una puerta al fondo simulando ir hacia la zona de las escaleras.

Al principio quería poner unas puertas dobles francesas en la división entre la cocina y el salón.
At first I wanted to put French doors in the division between the kitchen and living room.
Y también unas puertas (falsas) que dieran salida a una terraza exterior.
And also some (fake) doors giving access to an outdoor terrace.
Sin embargo, cambié de idea. Las puertas que dan salida al exterior se quedan pero decidí dar mayor apertura entre el salón y la cocina para lo cual pondré una pared con arco abierto. Esto es solo una simulación para ir visualizando las ideas.
However, I changed my mind. The doors going to the outside remain but I decided to have a greater opening between the living room and the kitchen for which I will have a wall with an open arch. This is just a simulation to visualise the ideas.

En la primera planta irá una habitación y el baño.
On the first floor will go a bedroom and the bathroom.
Al ser un poco irreal el acceso directamente de las escaleras imaginarias a la habitación, haré un pasillo con puerta al fondo también por donde se accede a las escaleras. Así se puede acceder al baño de manera independiente como en una casa real. 😤
Being a bit unreal to access directly from the imaginary stairs to the room, I will make a corridor with a door at the back from where to access the stairs. This way the bathroom entrance is independent as in a real house. 😤

Me encanta que el espacio abuhardillado, es amplio y al ser recto en la parte trasera permite aprovecharlo realmente. Pondré un pequeño estudio y algo que nunca he hecho en ninguna de mis casas, una habitación infantil. Bueno, sí, en una hice una habitación de bebé. En esta ocasión haré la habitación de dos niños (varones, sí), los cuales imagino entre 5 y 10 años y para más señas, mellizos. 😤
I love that the attic space is wide and being straight in the back allows me to really get the best of it. I will place a small study and something that I have never done in any of my houses, a children's room. Well, I made a baby´s room in one house. On this occasion I will make the room of two children (boys), which I imagine between 5 and 10 years and twins. 😤
He podido pensar en hacer una habitación para niñas que es lo más usual, supongo. Además yo tengo dos hijas (y un hijo también), pero por hacer algo un poco diferente y que me entusiasmara más, esta habitación será de niños y no niñas. A lo mejor mi pequeña aversión al rosa tuvo algo que ver, aunque hoy en día el rosa, menos mal, no es la única opción para chicas. Perdonadme la diatriba.
I could think of making a girl´s room as is the most usual, I guess. Also, I have two daughters (and a son too), but to do something a little different and to get me more excited, this room will be for boys. Maybe my little aversion to pink had something to do, although today, pink, thank goodness, is not the only option for girls. Forgive me the diatribe.
Algo más que he ido haciendo es ver qué muebles puedo aprovechar, ya os dije. A esta alacena o biblioteca no le había encontrado uso hasta hoy.
Something else I've been doing is checking what furniture I can give an use as I told you. This cupboard or library had not found use until today.
Unos 30 segundos en el microondas y pude despegar las dos partes. La parte inferior me servirá de escritorio. Ya veremos como queda.
About 30 seconds in the microwave and I could unglued both parts. The lower part will serve as a desk. We'll see how it goes.
Ando ahora haciendo el suelo de la cocina, pero eso ya será parte de mi próxima entrada.
Now, I am doing the kitchen´s floor, but that will be part of my next entry.
