La cabaña: el interior/ The cabin: the interior

 

Hola!

Hoy, finalmente os traigo el interior de la cabaña terminada. La he tenido decorada hace varios días y me gusta tanto que cada día entro en la habitación donde está solo a contemplarla. Cada vez añado alguna cosilla, cambio otra, se me ocurre algo, pero ya se puede decir que esta 98% terminada.

Os traigo muchas fotos, no he sido capaz de reducirlas a más, parecen repeticiones pero algún cambio de ángulo o de luz me impide borrarla, jaja.

Por cierto mis planes iniciales cambiaron muchísimo, pensaba hacerla más sucia, destartalada y abandonada, pero su tamaño y la carita dulce de Manuel me lo impidieron, no me pinto a Manuel en ese tipo de casa, lo veo mejor aquí, en esta cabaña humilde pero hogareña que comparte con Gertudis cada vez que pueden.

Bueno, os dejo con las fotos y espero os guste el interior de la cabaña de Manuel y Gertrudis.

Today, I finally bring the inside of the finished cabin. I have had it decorated for several days and I like it so much that every day I go into the room where it is placed just to contemplate it. Every time I add something, change another, something occurs to me, but I can say that it is 98% finished.

I am posting many photos, I have not been able to reduce them to less, they seem repetitions but some change in angle or light prevents me from erasing it, lol.

By the way, my initial plans changed a lot, I was thinking of making it more dirty, ramshackle and abandoned, but its size and Manuel's sweet face prevented it, I didn't see Manuel in that type of house, I see him better here, in this humble but homely cabin that he shares with Gertudis whenever they can.

Las lámparas de esta habitación, son temporales, quería ponerle un poco de luz, pero no he encontrado las lámparas ideales y para pagar por algo que no me convence, prefiero improvisar un poco hasta que encuentre o se me ocurra algo mejor.

The lamps in this room are temporary, I wanted to put some light on it, but I have not found the ideal lamps and to pay for something that does not convince me, I prefer to improvise a bit until I find or come up with something better.

La planta baja/ the ground floor:

Manuel no es cazador ni persona violenta, es apacible y no le gustan las armas pero en estos lugares recónditos es mejor estar protegido, por lo cual tiene a la mano un rifle por si acaso. Tampoco hay niños, así que puede colocarlo en un sitio donde esté disponible en caso de emergencia.

Manuel is not a hunter nor a violent person, he is peaceful and does not like weapons but in these remote places it is better to be protected, so he has a rifle at hand just in case. There are also no children, so he can place it where it will be available in an emergency.

Aquí tenemos a Curry en su lugar favorito, frente a la chimenea. A los gatos les encanta el calorcito así que aquí Curry vive feliz.

Here we have Curry in his favourite place, in front of the fireplace. Cats love warmth so Curry lives happily here.

Peces recientemente capturados por Manuel, en la encimera listos para preparar una deliciosa cena. Estos pescadillos los hice yo misma en fimo  y luego pinté con acrílico y esmalte de uñas. Es gracioso, como no encontré lo que buscaba me arriesgué a hacerlos. Al principio no me gustaron y me reí mucho, pero cada vez que los veo me gustan más. Pensé cambiarlos cuando consiguiera los ideales, pero no lo haré, me gustan tal cual!

Fish on the counter, recently caught by Manuel, ready to be prepared for a delicious dinner. I made these little fish myself in fimo and then painted them with acrylic and nail polish. It's funny, since I didn't find what I was looking for, I took the risk of doing them. At first I didn't like them and I laughed a lot, but every time I see them I like them more. I thought about changing them when I got the ideal ones, but I won't, I like them as they are!

Techos y tejado

 

Hola!

Hoy os traigo el techo del primer piso y el tejado, voy avanzando rápidamente en la cabaña.

Infortunadamente no tomé fotos de la primera planta y su techo antes de ponerme a colocar y decorar, tengo poca paciencia y me puse a decorar sin tomar fotos antes. Solo os muestro una foto porque quiero esperar a poner unos últimos toques antes de mostraros el interior decorado.

Today I bring you the ceiling of the first floor and the roof, I am making quick progress with the cabin.

Unfortunately I did not take photos of the first floor and its ceiling before I started to decorate, I have little patience and I started decorating without taking photos first. I am only showing one photo as I want to wait for some finishing touches before showing you the decorated interior.

Está era la idea que tenía de poner las vigas en cuadrícula, los palillos de pinchos han estado perfectos y me gusta mucho el efecto.

This was the idea I had, installing the beams in a grid, the skewers have been perfect and I really like the effect.

Terminado el interior, seguía el tejado. Desde hace algún tiempo quería hacer un techo simulando láminas de metal corrugado. Tres factores fueron decisivos en decidirme esta vez. Primero no me apetecía ponerme con tejas, es mucho trabajo jaja, segundo he visto muchas fotos de cabañas con este tipo de tejados así que sí existen y tercero si no lo hacía ahora con esta humilde cabaña no creo que encontraría otra casa apropiada para probarlo en el futuro. 

Once the interior was finished, the roof followed. Since a while ago I´ve wanted to make a roof simulating corrugated metal sheets. Three factors were decisive in deciding this time. First I did not feel like putting on tiles, it is a lot of work lol, second I have seen many photos of cabins with this type of roof so they do exist and third if I did not do it now with this humble cabin I do not think I would find another appropriate house to try it in the future.

Una vez tomada la decisión, recordé que en el supermercado venden unas galletas tipo "crackers" que traen este tipo de cartón en el empaque, así que en vez de comprarme un rollo de este material que tendría que pedir por Internet y luego deambularía por casa, decidí comprar 3 paquetes de estas galletas y acerté en la cantidad. Ahora David y yo tendremos snacks para rato.

Once the decision was made, I remembered that in the supermarket they sell some crackers that have this kind of cardboard in the packaging, so instead of buying a roll of this material that I would have to order online and then it would wander around the house, I decided to buy 3 packages of these crackers and I got the quantity right. Now David and I will have snacks for a while.

El cartón viene en blanco. Primero le di una base gris, luego con la técnica del pincel seco, ensucié con un gris muy oscuro y finalmente oxidé con una mezcla de amarillo y color terracota.  

A mí me parece que ha quedado muy bien, aunque lo diga yo misma. Me encanta!

The cardboard is white. I first gave it a gray base, then with the dry brush technique, I stained with a very dark gray and finally oxidised with a mixture of yellow and terracotta. 

I think it turned out very well, even if I say so myself. Love it!

Y aquí os muestro un poco el techo y parte de la decoración. 

Estoy debatiendo la posibilidad de ponerle un poco de "verdín" al tejado. La primera prueba que hice no me gustó mucho y debo mirar mejor como hacerlo.

And here I show you a bit of the ceiling and part of the decoration.

I'm debating the possibility of putting a little "moss" on the roof. The first test I didn´t like very much and I must take a better look at how to do it.

La verdad confieso que he empezado a decorar esta cabaña antes de tiempo. Todavía falta el exterior y ya las habitaciones están casi completamente decoradas, me cuesta mucho contenerme. Como no tengo mucho más que mostrar, os traigo fotos de algunos rincones ya decorados.

I confess that I have started to decorate this cabin before time. The exterior is yet to be done and the rooms are almost completely decorated, I have a hard time restraining myself. As I don't have much else to show, I bring you photos of some already decorated corners.

Alguien me preguntó que donde se bañarían Manuel y Gertrudis, pues aquí ven la bañera en la cual se asean cuando toca. Tal como en los viejos tiempos. se saca para el baño, y se vuelve a guardar después de este.

Someone asked me where Manuel and Gertrudis would bathe, so here it is the tin bath in which they wash when it´s time. Just like the old days. You take it out for the bath, and put it back after. 

Aquí podemos ver un paquete de tabaco y cenicero. Ya sabemos que Gertrudis tiene el vicio de fumar. Lo bueno es que Tulio ya no fuma, el pobre,  jajaj, así que cenicero y tabaco se han mudado de la casa de Tulio y Carmen a la cabaña de Manuel y Gertrudis jajaj. Soy friki total.

Here we can see a packet of tobacco and an ashtray. We already know that Gertrudis has the habit of smoking. The good thing is that Tulio no longer smokes, the poor man, lol, so ashtray and tobacco have moved from Tulio and Carmen's house to Manuel and Gertrudis's cabin LOL. I'm a total geek.

Aquí hay una red para peces que hice y me ha gustado el resultado, se ve que ha sido usada hasta el cansancio.

Y debajo, podemos ver otra red de pesca también hecha por mí y una caña de pescar, esta vino de fábrica con Manuel. 

Here there is a fish net that I made and liked the result, you can see that it has been used ad nauseam.

And below, we can see another fishing net also made by me and a fishing rod, this one came with Manuel from the factory .

Y esto es todo con respecto a la cabaña, pero antes de despedirme quiero dar las gracias a Isabel, porque a mí también me ha mandado porque sí un precioso regalo.

And this is all regarding the cabin, but before saying goodbye I want to thank Isabel, as she has sent me a precious gift too.

Un costurero personalizado, que os muestro de cerca porque es de alucinar lo que tiene dentro!!!

También una amigurumi hipopótamo que es de una hermosura que no imaginan y muy chiquitina!! ¿Cómo es posible que se pueda tejer tan pequeñito? no me lo explico.  Isabel, mil y mil y mil gracias por tu generosidad y tan precioso regalo.

Also a hippo amigurumi so beautiful you cannot imagine and very tiny as well!! How is it possible to be able to knit so tiny? I cannot explain it. Isabel, thank you, thank you so very much for your generosity and such a precious gift.
