De teteras y lámparas/ Of teapots and lamps

Hola!

Ahora estoy trabajando en el cuarto de estar de la casa Rebeca. Hay progresos pero ya os mostraré cuando la estancia esté terminada, poco me falta.

¿Os acordais de esos sillones tan horrorosos que os mostré y dije que utilizaría? Bueno aquí están:

Hello! I'm working in the study of Rebecca's house. There is progress but I will show the room when is finished, I'm almost there. Do you remember those hideous chairs that I showed you before and said I would use? Well here they are:

¡¡Qué feos eran!! ¿no? Bueno le he cambiado el espaldar y tapizado con una tela "abuelada" y he aquí el resultado. No serán los sillones más bonitos del mundo, pero se ven cómodos, antiguos y creo yo que van muy bien con la idea que busco. Infortunadamente se me acaboó la tela, solo he podido tapizar uno, estoy a la espera de más tela y espero poder terminarlos pronto.

Debido al parón involuntario y con ganas de hacer algo, me puse a buscar ideas y esto se cruzó en mi camino en Pinterest:


How ugly they were !! weren´t they? Well I have changed the back and upholstered with a "grandmotherly" kind of fabric and here is the result. They will not be the most beautiful chairs in the world, but they look comfortable, old and I think they go very well with the idea I'm looking for. Unfortunately I ran out of fabric, I've only been able to upholster one chair, so I'm waiting for more fabric and I hope I can finish them soon. 

Due to the involuntary stop and wanting to do something, I started looking for ideas and this crossed my path in Pinterest:

Que yo sepa no es una miniatura, es de un sitio de imprimibles y esas cosas, creo, pero cómo me encantan las teteras, se me ocurrió trasladar la idea a mini.

Un poco de fimo, unas teteras básicas, unos abalorios y esto salió:

As far as I know it is not a miniature, it's site for printables and scrap booking, I think. I love teapots, so I thought to use the idea for minis. A bit of fimo to make some basic teapots, some beads and this came out:

Aquí están listas para hornear. Las teteras las hice muy rápidamente, sin embargo otro cuento fue hacer las pantallas de las lámparas en cartón y papel, no es que sea díficil, es que soy un poco torpe manejando papel y recortables. En fin, el resultado:

Here they are ready for the oven.  I made the teapots very quickly, however another story was to make the lampshades with paper and cardboard, not that it is difficult, is that I am a little clumsy handling paper and cutouts. The result:

Mi diseño es más simple que el modelo pero la verdad es que me ha encantado el resultado. Y aquí están mis lamparas-teteras decorando mis casitas:

En mi casa andaluza, que no he mostrado aquí, pero que pienso redecorar un poco y mostrar más adelante/ In my Andalusian house, which I have not shown here. I plan to redecorate it a bit and show it later:

De las dos restantes, una tendrá su lugar en la casa Rebeca y la otra... bueno ya veremos 😉

¿Os gustan? Animaros a hacerlas, es laborioso pero no muy complicado y creo que el resultado es muy bonito y original. Al menos a mí me lo parece.

Of the remaining two, one will have its place in Rebecca´s house and the other ... well we'll see 😉 

Do you like them? Try them, it is laborious but not very complicated and I think the result is pretty and original. At least I think so.

6 meses, 68 seguidores, 24 entradas, 496 comentarios. No es que esté rompiendo records en la blogósfera, ni me estoy volviendo famosa, ni soy perseguida por miles de patrocinadores jaja, pero no está mal, creo 😊 Sin embargo son solo números, lo que no puedo cuantificar es la alegría, las emociones y satisfacciones que me ha brindado mi blog. El compartir afición con gente increíble, vuestros comentarios que alientan y alimentan, eso no, eso no se puede medir. A todos y todas, mil gracias.

I am not breaking any records in the blogsphere, nor becoming famous, neither being harassed by thousands of sponsors, sadly no, ha, but it is not bad, is it? However what I cannot quantify is the joy, the emotions and satisfactions that my blog has given me. To share this hobby with amazing people, your kind and very encouraging comments, that cannot be measured. To all of you thank you very much.


El pasado 16 de enero inicié una aventura de la que no estaba muy segura, nació mi blog. Esto quiere decir que el próximo 16 de julio cumplo 6 meses de estas andaduras, qué bien, no? Pasa el tiempo muy rápido y espero que sean muchos más. Espero tener la energía, la creatividad y los proyectos para seguir en éstas por un largo tiempo.
Last 16th of January I started this adventure which I was not sure of; my blog was born. This means that next July 16th is the 6 months anniversary of my blog, good no? Time flies and I hope there´s more to come. I hope to have the energy, creativity and the projects to keep doing this for a long time.

Voy a decir algo que es muy cliché, lo sé, pero no menos cierto, esto no hubiese sido posible sin vosotros, sin sus comentarios, sin su acompañamiento amable y sincero, sin vosotros seguidores de este blog, que me leen y me motivan a seguir.
I am going to say something that is a cliche, I know, but this would have not been possible without you, without your comments, your gentle and honest company, without you followers of this blog, who read me and encourage me to keep going.

La loca de los gatos/ Crazy cat lady

Así me llaman algunos y merecido lo tengo pues no es un secreto que amo a los gatos, ya sábeis que tengo 4 en casa y si no fuera porque mi marido me ha dicho que 4 es suficiente (Eso dijo a los 2 y luego a los 3...) y de que vivo en un piso, creo que serían muchos más. Se me arruga el corazón cada vez que veo a algunas de estas criaturillas buscando un hogar. A los dos primeros los adopté de un refugio y a los otros dos los rescaté de las calles.
Some call me that and I deserve it because is not a secret that I love cats. If it wasn´t because my husband has told me that 4 is enough (he said the same at 2 and at 3...) and because I live in a flat I would have more. My heart breaks when I see one of these little creatures looking for a home. I adopted my first 2 cats from a shelter and the other 2 I  rescued from the streets.

Cada vez que hago una escena o casa, ya os había contado, pongo algún minino en ella como sello personal. Sin embargo no era suficiente y un día decidí hacer una pequeña escena en honor a mis niños. Disculpad los que ya la han visto, pues la he mostrado antes en el foro, pero creo que si este blog es sobre mis miniaturas, debo mostrar una de mis escenas favoritas, quizás no por su arte pero por lo que significa :)
When I make a house or a scene I always put a cat in it as a personal signature. However it was not enough and one day I decided to make a small scene in my babies´ honour. Forgive me those who has seen it before as I showed in the forum but I believe if this blog is about my miniatures I should show here one of my favourite scenes, not because its art but its meaning :)

Os muestro/ Let me show you:

Me encontraba experimentando con fimo e hice especialmente para esta escena todas las teteras que
véis, en diferentes formas. Me encantan las teteras! y creo que estas tienen su gracia.
I was experimenting with fimo and I made all the teapots you see in different shapes. I love teapots! I think these ones have some charm.

La idea era crear un salón cálido, de un estilo un poco antiguo. El salón de estar de una mujer ya entrada en años, amante de los gatos, donde estos camparan a sus anchas y donde ella pudiese sentarse a disfrutar de un té, de una merienda o relajarse haciendo labores.
The idea was to recreate a warm room with an old style. The room of an old sweet woman, a cat lover, where cats could be around freely and where she could sit and relax having a tea, enjoying a snack or doing her crafts.

Creo que lo logré, a mi me encanta contemplarla!
I think I achieved that. I love watching it!

Pero esto no es lo único que les he traído hoy. Un día en facebook me topé con unas artistas que hacen animalillos en lana afieltrada, "Our handmade gifts" y pensé por qué no? He de decir que hay que esperar un poco, hay una pequeña lista de espera, pero sus precios son más que módicos y vale la pena :)
But this is not the only thing I am showing today. One day in Facebook I found these artists who make little animals with felted wool "Our handmade gifts" and I thought, why not? I have to say that you have to wait a little bit, there is a waiting list, but the prices are very reasonable and it is worth it :)

Les encargué a mis 3 niños que luego se convirtieron en 4, envié fotos y este es el resultado:

Todos muy curiosos al ver sus miniyos, pero el caso es que gato es gato y el instinto cazador no se los quita nadie...
They were very curious about their mini versions, but a cat is a cat and their hunting instinct took place...

Tuve que poner a salvo a mis mini criaturillas, así no durarían un día
I had to put those mini things in a safe place, they would not last one day

Esas colas!!/ Those tails!!!

La verdad es que son adorables, los colores muy precisos, un poquitín grandes para la escala pero son tan monos y graciosos que no importa mucho. ha valido totalmente la pena. Tendré que pensar en cómo lucirlos, no? Ya se me ocurrirá algo.
To be honest they are adorable, the colours and patterns are very precise, they are a little bit bigger for the scale but they are so cute and funny that it´s not big deal, it has been totally worth it. I have to think how to display them properly, no? I will think of something.
