La cabaña de Manuel/ Manuel´s cabin

 

Hola, hola,

Aquí estoy finamente, luego de un tiempo muy movido que me mantuvo alejada del blog pero no de las minis.

Luego de un final de verano bastante agotador, estuve de vacaciones por 2 semanas!! ahh las disfruté y aproveché al máximo. Fueron muy productivas, pudimos escaparnos unos días a uno de nuestros rincones favoritos: Las calas de Roche en Conil, os muestro una foto de este maravilloso lugar.

Finally here I am, after a very busy time that kept me away from the blog but not from minis.

After a very exhausting end of summer, I was on vacation for 2 weeks !! ahh I enjoyed them and made the most of it. They were very productive, we were able to escape for a few days to one of our favourite corners: The coves of Roche in Conil, I show you a photo of this wonderful place:

También he estado organizando mi casa y mudé mi cuarto de minis a una habitación más grande, en fin, que no me alargo, este es un blog de minis no mi diario personal, ja. Total que a pesar de todo, este último mes ha sido agradable y productivo para mí.

I have also been organising my house and I moved my minis to a bigger room, well, I stop talking, this is a minis blog not my personal diary, lol. In spite of everything, this last month has been pleasant and productive for me.

En el campo minis, estuve mejorando la fachada de la casa de Carmen. Ya sé que la di por terminada pero fue más por cansancio porque no dejaba de parecerme que hacían falta unas jardineras y mejor aun, una enredadera en ese balcón. Al final me animé, puse manos a la obra y aquí está el resultado. No serán las plantas más maravillosas del mundo, pero estarán en la fachada expuestas al polvo y creo cumplen su cometido de alegrar un poco más esta casa. Os muestro:

In the minis field, I worked in improving the facade of Carmen's house. I know I finished it, but it was more out of fatigue as it seemed to me that some planters were needed and better yet, a vine on that balcony. In the end I got encouraged, so I got down to work and here is the result. They will not be the most wonderful plants in the world, but they will be exposed to dust on the facade and I think they do their job of brightening up this house a little more. I'll show you:

Ahh olvidaba mencionarlo, esta planta enredadera la hice con los tallos de unos racimos de uvas reales que guardé alguna vez.

Ahh I forgot to mention it, I made this vine plant with the stems of some real grapes that I once kept.

¿Que les parece? ¿un poco mejor?

En cuanto a la cabaña de Manuel, también hay avances. Finalmente decidí inspirarme en la foto del inicio, que ya os mostré antes.

As for Manuel's cabin, there is also some progress. Finally I decided to take inspiration from the first photo of this post, that I already showed you before.

Bueno, no tengan expectativas muy altas por favor. La verdad que fue un quebradero de cabeza encontrar el material o las técnicas que me permitieran recrear una cabaña hecha de madera de forma realista. Os muestro mis tristes intentos.

Please don't have too high expectations. The truth is that it was a headache to find the material or the techniques that would allow me to recreate a cabin made of wood in a realistic way. I show you my sad attempts:

Aquí se pueden ver las marcas que hice directamente en la fachada simulando las divisiones de la madera. No, no me gustó.

Here you can see the marks I made directly on the facade, simulating the divisions of the wood. No, I did not like it.

Luego probando con maderas, diferentes patrones, etc. No, tampoco.

Finalmente mi marido, que cuando quiere es un tesoro, se puso a cortar y "preparar" los listones de madera real que adornarían la fachada. Aquí lo vemos muy aplicado, nuestro patio de ropas-terraza trasera no es el mejor lugar para hacer esta labor, pero todo por evitar el polvo en casa. Por favor ignorar la falta de medidas de seguridad mínimas.

Then testing with woods, different patterns, etc. No, neither.

Finally my husband, who when he wants is a treasure, began to cut and "prepare" the real wood slats that would make the facade. Here we can see him very hard working, our clothes patio-back terrace is not the best place to do this work, but everything to avoid dust at home. Please ignore the lack of minimal security measures.

¡No se imaginan mi felicidad! la verdad es que el resultado es genial, muy realista y auténtico.

You cannot imagine my happiness! the truth is that the result is great, very realistic and authentic.

Aquí todavía falta teñir la madera y poner el relleno. Por cierto, buscando imágenes de cabañas, muchas, muchísimas tienen esta característica como la foto inspiración arriba, los listones de madera van separados por franjas de material, creo que en la realidad usan cemento. No lo sabía de antes, pero caí ante el encanto de este tipo de cabañas. En la próxima entrada os mostraré más avances en la fachada.

Here I still need to stain the wood and put the filling. By the way, looking for images of cabins, many, many have this feature like the inspiration photo above, the wooden slats are separated by strips of material, I think they actually use cement. I didn't know it before, but I fell for the charm of this type of cabin. In the next post I will show you more advances in the facade.

Luego me puse a probar con muebles provisionales, para ir determinando los espacios.

Then I started to test with temporary furniture, to determine the spaces:

Escaleras enfrente, de un lado, del otro, detrás...

Stairs on the front, on one side, on the other, at the back...

Finalmente creo que esta disposición es la mejor, escaleras atrás, un pequeño váter debajo de las escaleras, habitación amplia arriba.

Finally I think this arrangement is the best, stairs at the back, a small toilet under the stairs, large room above:

 La ubicación final creo que será como se ve en la foto de abajo, con una ventana en la pared de la derecha.

Ahora estoy preparando todas las paredes por dentro y por fuera antes de armar. Esto es todo por hoy, cuidaos.
