El dormitorio de Rebeca/ Rebecca´s bedroom

Hola nuevamente!

Primero agradecer por todos sus mensajes de cumpleaños y participación en mi sorteo. Vuestros comentarios siempre me dan gran alegría.

Hoy he traído el dormitorio de Rebeca. Ya saben, esta casa evoca lo antiguo y espero haberlo logrado en esta habitación. Sin más preámbulos os muestro, como siempre muchas fotos, aunque no es una habitación muy grande intento capturar todos los ángulos y pequeños detalles:

Today I am bringing Rebecca's bedroom. You know, this house evokes the old and I hope I have achieved it in this room. Without any more preambles I show you, as always many photos, although it is not a very large room I try to capture all the angles and small details:

La cama de metal y ropa de cama es un regalo de Carolina. Caro es muy generosa y no dudó en enviarme esta cama que es perfecta para la habitación. Gracias Caro!

La mantita, cojines de crochet y la alfombrilla son de Siberia, todavía me cuesta imaginar que alguien pueda tejer tan pequeñito. Lourdes (Siberia) es una artista.

The metal bed and bedding is a gift from Carolina. Caro is very generous and did not hesitate to send me this bed that is perfect for the room. Thanks Caro!

¿Habéis notado un personajillo particular en estas fotos? Ya sabéis, todas mis casas tienen gatitos, soy una loca de los gatos y esta casa es el hogar del más bonito de todos mis gatitos 1/12. Se llama Sally y vino de sorpresa desde Catherine, fui una de las tres afortunadas de su sorteo 2017 y cuando abrí el paquete no me lo podía creer, además de un hermoso libro "El mundo creativo de Catherine" donde se aprecian todas las maravillas que ha hecho y que está sobre la cama y un pesebre diminuto en papel y cartón, venía esta adorable criatura. Es preciosa!! tan bien hecha, tan real y adorable como los de verdad y peluda!!! Awww no os podéis imaginar mi emoción, todavía no me lo creo. Descubrí el blog de Catherine hace poco y no exagero cuando os digo que es un blog increíble, todo sale de sus manos, sus escenas, personajes y gatos son excepcionales, si no lo conocéis pasaros y descubriréis un mini mundo maravilloso. Gracias Catherine. Sally es la princesa de esta casa.

Have you noticed a particular character in these photos? You know, all my houses have cats, I'm a crazy cat lady and this house is the home of the most beautiful of all my cats in 1/12. Her name is Sally and she came  from Catherine as a surprise. I was one of the three lucky winners of her giveaway 2017 and when I opened the package I could not believe it, this adorable creature came with a beautiful book "Catherine's creative world" where you can appreciate all the wonders that she has done and is on the bed and a tiny manger in paper and cardboard. It is beautiful!! it is so well made, so real and adorable as real cats and furry!!! Awww you cannot imagine my excitement, I still do not believe it. I discovered Catherine's blog recently and I do not exaggerate when I tell you that it is an incredible blog, everything comes out of her hands, her scenes, characters and cats are exceptional. If you do not know about it, you will discover a wonderful mini world. Thanks, Catherine. Sally is the princess of this house.

El salón de Rebeca II/ Rebecca´s living room II

De vuelta de Córdoba. La ciudad es una maravilla. Para aquellos que no la conocéis os la recomiendo, es preciosa, tiene muchos monumentos dignos de visitar, especialmente la Mezquita-Catedral, realmente maravillosa. 
Back from Córdoba. The city is wonderful. For those who do not know it I recommend it, it is beautiful, it has many monuments worth visiting, especially the Mosque-Cathedral, really amazing.

Lo bueno de las vacaciones es que tienes tiempo, lo malo es que debes aprovecharlas también no solo para descansar y viajar y hacer esas cosas que te gustan sino también para esas cosas que vas dejando y que cuando llegan las vacaciones debes poner al día, médicos, bancos, limpieza, etc. 
The good thing about vacations is that you have time, the bad thing is that you should make a "good" use of it, and not just resting, travelling or doing those things you like but doing those things you always pospone so when vacations arrive you must get on with them, things like going to the doctor, the bank, cleaning, etc.

Han sido estas vacaciones muy versátiles en lo bueno y en lo malo. Pero cómo me lo propuse he dedicado un buen tiempo a las minis y ya casi tengo terminado el salón. 
These holidays have been very versatile in the good and in the bad. But I was determined to work on my minis so I dedicated a good time to them and I have almost finished the living room.

No más blablabla, os muestro/ no more blablabla let me show you:

En la entrada anterior a Feli le parecía que las cortinas a lo mejor no quedaban tan bien. Me recomendó probar primero la decoración y ver, sin embargo a mi tampoco me terminaban de convencer y decidí darles un cambio, ya lo ven. ¡Gracias Feli!
In the previous entry Feli thought that the curtains might not fit so well. She recommended me to try first the decoration and then see, however I was also not convinced myself and I decided to give them a change, here you can see. Thank you Feli!

Era el turno de tapizar, lo cual me gusta mucho si los muebles no son muy complicados. Es increíble lo que un pedazo de tela puede hacer por unos muebles que no dicen mucho, no?
It was the turn of upholstery, which I really like if the furniture is not very complicated. It's amazing what a piece of fabric can do for furniture that does not say much, don´t you think?

Me costó lo suyo encontrar las telas apropiadas, pero Sulay de "aday inlilliput" de facebook tenía maravillas y encontré unos estampados que me encantaron, eran lo que buscaba.
It was hard for me to find the right fabrics, but Sulay from "aday inlilliput" in Facebook, had wonders and I found some prints that I loved, they were what I was looking for.

Aquí empiezo a colocar los accesorios que tenía preparados/ Here I star to place the accessories I had prepared.

Mmm creo que voy bien encaminada pero falta llenar las esquinas de la habitación/ I think I am going on the right direction but those corners need something:

Unos platos, a las abuelas les encantan/ Some plates, grannies love them.

 

¿Os acordáis de esas mesitas-sillas para teléfono? En todas las casas había una jeje, Rebeca tenía que tener la suya. Encontré la mesita perfecta entre mis cosas, le hice un cojín para sentarse y luego añadí el teléfono sobre la guía telefónica que tampoco faltaba. 

Do you remember those table-chairs for the telephone? There was one in every house lol, Rebecca had to have hers. I found the perfect table in my things, I made a cushion to sit down and then added the phone and the phone book, that one was not missing either.

Tampoco podían faltar los adornos de cerámica, figurines o estatuillas/  Nor could they miss ceramic ornaments or figurines.

Una vitrina con la vajilla "de pontificar" o de las ocasiones especiales, esa que a lo mejor solo se saca en Navidad :)/ A display cabinet for the special occasion tableware, that one that may be only taken out at Christmas :)

Todavía me faltan unos pocos detalles, no muchos, unas fotos antiguas en sus marcos y poco más. No he podido tenerlas listas porque ando rebuscando entre mis fotos viejas, quiero que sean fotos reales de mi familia y la de mi marido. Todas las fotos que tengo en mis casas son mías y esta casa por supuesto no puede ser la excepción. 

I still need to put a few details, not many, some old photos in their frames and little more. I could not have them ready because I'm searching through my old photos, I want them to be real photos of my family and my husband's. All the photos I have in my houses are mine and of course this house can not be the exception.

El salón I y resultados del sorteo/ The living room I and giveaway results

Aquí estamos nuevamente. ¿Dónde había quedado? 
Here I am again. Where was I?

Al contrario que la mayoría no puedo tomar vacaciones en verano aunque lo disfruto lo más que pueda. Ha llegado octubre y finalmente puedo disfrutar de mis vacaciones, 2 semanas de merecido descanso. Es solo el segundo día y el cuerpo lo nota pues he hecho avances significativos en mi nueva casita. 
Unlike most, I cannot take summer vacations but I enjoy summer as much as I can. October has arrived and I can finally enjoy my vacation, 2 weeks of a well-deserved rest. It's only the second day and the body notices it because I've made significant progress in my new house.

Luego de escoger papeles, le ha tocado el turno al salón. Había que hacer el techo, poner molduras, rellenar el hueco en el suelo debajo de las escaleras. No es mi parte favorita, pero hay que hacerlo. Completé el suelo y los guardapolvos con palitos de helado teñidos con una tintura al agua. Me ha gustado más que el betún de judea pues no tiene olor penetrante. El resto de las molduras con listones de madera. 
After choosing papers, it was the living room turn. I had to make the ceiling, put mouldings, fill the hole on the floor under the stairs. It's not my favourite part, but I had to do it. I completed the floor and the skirting board with ice lolly´s sticks, stained with a water dye. I liked it better than "betún de judea" because it does not have a penetrating odour. The rest of the mouldings I made with wooden slats.

Aquí faltaba el techo y no me apetecía dar incontables manos de pintura. Lo bueno de ir cogiendo confianza en este mundillo es que te vuelves muy recursivo. Tenía papel de acuarelas que tiene una textura ideal, es fácil de manipular y solo necesitas medir y cortar. Me ha gustado más el resultado que si hubiese pintado. Muy prolijo. 
The ceiling was missing here, and I did not want to give up countless painting coats. The good thing about getting confidence in this world is that you become very recursive. I had watercolour card that has an ideal texture, it is easy to manipulate and you only need to measure and cut. I liked the result more than if I had painted it. Very neat.

La chimenea del fondo la hice con materiales varios y pequeñas molduras de madera y palillos plásticos. Está pintada y luego envejecida con sombras de ojos para darle un toque más antiguo. 
I made the fireplace with various materials and small wooden mouldings and plastic sticks. It is painted and then aged with eye shadows to give it an old touch.

Varias veces estuve tentada a comprar una, pero al final no me disgustó el resultado y he decidido que se queda. 
Several times I was tempted to buy one, but in the end I did not dislike the result and I decided that it stays.
También he hecho de costurera y diseñado unas cortinas. I have also become a seamstress and designed some curtains

Y así ha quedado el salón listo ya para decorar/ And so the room is ready to decorate.

¿Os gusta? Me parece que se nota ese aire antiguo que quiero darle. Bueno y hasta aquí he llegado en estos dos días de trabajo. Ahora viene la parte divertida, tapizar los muebles y colocar accesorios. Eso será mi próxima entrada, espero. 
Do you like it? It seems to me that it has that old flair I want. Well, this is what I have done so far in these two days of work. Now comes the fun part, upholstering the furniture and placing accessories. That will be my next entry, I hope.

Haré un pequeño viaje a la ciudad de Córdoba, la cual quería visitar desde hace mucho tiempo, luego de visitar Granada y Sevilla. España tiene joyas regadas por toda su geografía, es un país hermoso. Estaré fuera por unos pocos días y mis planes al regresar son dedicarle mucho tiempo a las minis yupi! 
I will make a short trip to the city of Cordoba, which I wanted to visit for a long time, after visiting Granada and Seville. Spain has jewels all over its geography, it is a beautiful country. I will be gone for a few days and my plans on my return are to spend a lot of time in my minis, yeah!!
