Despidiendo el 2020/ Saying good bye to 2020

 Hola!

Y aquí estamos, despidiendo un año que no ha sido un año más, este 2020 ha sido para muchos, lo menos, un año difícil, para otros un año muy triste. Espero que para vosotros que me leéis no lo haya sido tanto.

Bueno, os había mostrado en una entrada anterior el regalo de cumpleaños de mi hijo, ahora quiero mostraros otros regalitos que recibí de cumpleaños.

Estas alfombras maravillosas fueron un segundo regalo de mi hijo y más contenta no puedo estar, irán seguramente en mi cabaña.

And here we are, saying goodbye to a year that has not been just another year, 2020 has been for many, at least, a difficult year, for others a very sad one. I hope for you readers has not been so much.

Well, I had shown you in a previous post my son's birthday present, now I want to show you other gifts that I received for my birthday.

These wonderful rugs were a second gift from my son and I can't be happier, they will surely go in my cabin.

En esta foto os muestro el regalo de mi hija menor que también acertó regalándome miniaturas. 

In this photo I show you a gift from my youngest daughter, she was also right by giving me miniatures.

Otro regalo de mi hija, un kit para hacer una plantita de fresas. Me comentó que con las fresas de esta plantita se supone que hice la tarta de la foto superior, jajaja.

Another gift from my daughter, a kit to make a strawberry plant. She told me that with the strawberries from this plant I was supposed to make the cake in the photo above, LOL.

Y en la foto siguiente un kit de un invernadero que me regaló junto con su novio como regalo de Navidad, que linda mi hija, ya aprendió cuales son los mejores regalos para mí. 

And in the next photo a greenhouse kit that she gave me together with her boyfriend as a Christmas present, how sweet of my daughter, she has learned which are the best gifts for me.

Y como este año no hubo feria de Kensington, pero el año pasado fue la mejor celebración que pude tener al visitar esta feria, decidí hacerme unos pequeños regalitos a mí misma en la feria online que se celebró en su reemplazo este año. Había muchas maravillas, al final me decidí por estas comiditas que reflejan mi amor por lo inglés. Como sabéis mi marido es inglés y sus tradiciones se han convertido un poco en las mías. Debajo un típico asado inglés con carne, vegetales y Yorkshire puddings (mis favoritos!) que son muy usuales en domingo, el Sunday roast, y en Navidad. Y también otro favorito, mince pies, son típicos de Navidad y me encantan!

And since there was no Kensington Fair this year, but last year was the best celebration I could have when visiting this fair, I decided to treat myself with a few little gifts at the online fair that was held in its replacement this year. There were many wonders, in the end I decided on these little dishes that reflect my love for the English culture. As you know, my husband is English and his traditions have become a bit like mine. Below is a typical English roast with meat, vegetables and Yorkshire puddings (my favourites!) Which are very common on Sunday, the Sunday roast, and at Christmas. Also another favourite, mince pies, they are typical of Christmas and I love them!

Unos peluches de asombro, son de Shoebutton bears y no os podéis imaginar lo maravillosos que son!!

Y por último más comiditas, otra vez algo inglés, crumpets para el desayuno, unos guantes de goma y unas tartas para mi cabaña.

No tengo a la mano en el momento los artesanos a los que les compré, pero si a alguno le interesan solo preguntad.

And finally more food, something English again, crumpets for breakfast, some rubber gloves and some cakes for my cabin.

At the moment I don't have on hand the artisans I bought from, but if anyone is interested, just ask.

Resulta que un día Caro nos muestra una oferta que encontró en Wallapoop, nos dice que ella no la coge porque ya no le caben más casas pero nos pregunta si nos interesa. El precio era un chollo y la casa muy bonita pero la chica no hacía envíos. Carolina siendo tan especial como es, como le quedaba cerca de casa se ofrece a retirarla ella y enviármela, yo dudo... entonces mi marido me ve en esas y me dice que la coja que es su regalo cumpleaños-navidad. Yo acepto encantadísima y Caro me manda estas fotos de cuando fue a recogerla:

One day Caro showed us an offer she found in Wallapoop, she told us that she won't take it because she couldn't fit any more houses but she asked if we're interested. The price was a bargain and the house was very nice, but the girl did not ship. Carolina being as special as she is, and as she was close, offered to pick it up and send it to me, I was hesitant... so my husband sees me like that and tells me to take it, as his birthday-Christmas gift for me. I happily accepted and Caro sent me these photos of when she went to pick it up:

Hay de todo!! Más feliz no puedo estar, pronto llegará a casa y yo tendré otro proyecto más para el futuro. Gracias David, mi amor. Gracias Carolina, eres un encanto.

Y como todos los años, recibo el cariño navideño de Birgit. Aquí debajo podéis ver todas las cosas tan bonitas que nos envía y nos alegran la Navidad. Tengo que decir que la casita es MARAVILLOSA. Gracias de todo corazón Birgit. 

There is everything!! I cannot be happier, it will soon come home and I will have another project for the future. Thank you David, my love. Thank you Carolina, you are a darling.

And like every year, I received Birgit's Christmas love. Here below you can see all the beautiful things she sent us to make our Christmas a happier one. I have to say that the little house is WONDERFUL. Thank you with all my heart Birgit.

También habréis visto que Ricardo, Ram, ha hecho llegar a muchas de las seguidoras de su blog un regalo precioso. Os dejo el mío, ni que decir que saltaba en un pie cuando lo recibí, gracias Ricardo!!

You will also have seen that Ricardo, Ram, has given many of the followers of his blog a precious gift. This is mine, needless to say that I jumped on one foot when I received it, thanks Ricardo !!

En estas fechas siempre me dan ganas de minis y de unos años para acá me gusta hacer minis navideñas. Este año se me dio por decorar arbolitos entre otras cosas. En un grupo de Facebook al que pertenezco hicieron un concurso de una escena con el tema de una postal navideña. Se me ocurrió que mis arbolitos podían servir, busqué una caja, añadí algunas cosas y tuve la suerte de ser la afortunada ganadora. Os muestro la foto con la cual gané.

At this time I always want to work in minis and since a few years ago I like to make Christmas minis. This year I felt like decorating little trees among other things. In a Facebook group I belong to, there was a contest for a scene with the theme of a Christmas postcard. I thought that my little trees could be useful, I looked for a box, added some things and I was lucky to be the winner. Here is the photo with which I won.

El arbolito amarillo se mudó de lugar y el arbolito de la izquierda y la corona salieron para sus destinos, pero como me dio pena deshacer la escena decidí conservarla, compré una caja maleta que me pareció bonita, añadí tesoros que tenía guardados como esos ositos y patines y añadí los bellos regalos de Birgit y Ram. Ahora forma parte de mis escenas y la iré cambiando, quitando o añadiendo cosas con el tiempo.

The little yellow tree moved, the tree on the left and the crown left for their destinations, but as I was sorry to undo the scene, I decided to keep it, bought a suitcase box I thought was beautiful, added some treasures I had stored like those bears and skates and added the beautiful gifts from Birgit and Ram. Now it is part of my scenes and I will change it, remove or add things over time.

Con las comiditas que compré, la idea era recrear una mesa de Navidad combinando la tradición inglesa y otras tradiciones que me gustan.

With the little meals I bought, the idea was to recreate a Christmas table combining the English tradition and other traditions that I like.

Redecoré un centro de mesa navideño con uno de los muñecos de nieve regalo de Birgit del año pasado.

I redecorated a Christmas centrepiece with one of Birgit's snowmen from last year.

Con mis compras, otras cosillas que tenía guardadas esperando una buena ocasión, entre ellas las vieiras regalo de Solaire, me dispuse a organizar mi mesa. Hice los salvamanteles, copas y servilletas y este es el resultado. Y a petición de mi marido hice los Christmas crackers, que son esos caramelos de papel en la parte superior de los platos. Es una tradición inglesa muy divertida en cenas y fiestas navideñas, se supone que entre dos personas los halan y la persona que se quede con la mayor parte se queda con su contenido que usualmente son pequeños regalos.

With my purchases, other things I had in store waiting for a good occasion, among them the scallops,a gift from Solaire, I started to organize my table. I made the table mats, cups and napkins and this is the result. At my husband's request I made Christmas crackers, which are those paper candies on top of the plates. It is a very fun English tradition at dinners and Christmas parties, two people pull the crackers and the person who keeps most of it keeps its contents, they are usually small gifts.

En otro grupo de Facebook entre las actividades propuestas estaba la de hacer una fachada navideña o decorar una de nuestras casitas con tutoriales publicados en dicho grupo. Yo participé publicando tutoriales míos antiguos, y ya puestos decidí hacer una fachada decorada para Navidad. Me propuse no comprar nada sino usar cosas que tuviera en casa. Lo logré y este es el resultado. 

In another Facebook group among the proposed activities one was to make a Christmas facade or decorate one of our houses with tutorials published in the group. I participated by publishing my old tutorials, and decided to make a  facade decorated for Christmas. I didn´t want to buy anything but to use things that I had at home. I succeeded and this is the result.

Por ultimo quiero despedir el año con otro sorteo de mis últimos experimentos y producción miniaturil, como agradecimiento a vuestro apoyo durante este año.

Calendario de Adviento 2020/ Advent Calendar 2020

 

Hola!!

Espero que estéis teniendo un inicio de diciembre y Navidad seguro y agradable. Yo nuevamente por aquí participando en el calendario de Adviento que Matxalén organiza cada año, esta es mi tercera participación. Gracias Matxalén por contar conmigo una vez más.

A lo que vamos, siempre estoy buscando ideas en Internet para hacer en mini, tenía unas botellas de vino muy grandes pero chulas y Pinterest que siempre es buena fuente de inspiración me muestra esto:

I hope you are having a safe and enjoyable start to December and Christmas. I am here again participating in the Advent calendar that Matxalen organises every year, this is my third participation. Thanks Matxalen for having me one more time.

Let´s start, I'm always looking in Internet for ideas  to make in mini, I had some big but cool wine bottles and Pinterest, which is always a good source of inspiration, shows me this:

Chulo, no? Bueno a mí me lo parece. Los materiales que necesitaremos son unas tablitas de madera o cartoncillo, las mías son pedacitos sobrantes que tenía de madera de balsa, estas son de 6 cm x 2 cm; botellas, como son para un elemento decorativo que va en la pared no importa mucho el tamaño y papel aluminio o cartoncillo (que se pueda moldear) pintado en plateado.

Cool, right? Well, i think so. The materials that we will need are: some wooden or cardboard boards, mine are leftover pieces of balsa wood I had , these are 6 cm x 2 cm; bottles, as they are for a wall decorative element, it does not matter much the size and aluminium foil or cardboard (that can be shaped) painted in silver.

El papel se va doblando para que tenga un grosor adecuado. Ir pegando con pegamento en barra al ir doblando. Al final os debe quedar una pieza de unos 2mm de ancho.

Luego teñimos la madera o pintamos el cartoncillo a nuestro gusto.

The paper is folded to a suitable thickness. Glue it with glue stick when folding. At the end you should have a piece of about 2mm wide.

Then stain the wood or paint the cardboard to your liking.

Pegamos la botella a la madera. En este caso al ser plástico sobre madera de balsa utilicé pegamento de modelismo y funcionó perfecto.

Glue the bottle to the wood. In this case, being plastic on balsa wood, I used modelling glue and it worked perfectly.

Con la botella pegada cortamos un trozo de nuestro papelillo doblado y lo pegamos alrededor del fondo de la botella y otro trozo alrededor del cuello a manera de agarraderas, en la foto se ve mejor. Aquí utilicé cola blanca.

With the bottle glued we cut a piece of our folded paper and stick it around the bottom of the bottle and another piece around the neck as handles, in the photo you can see better. Here I used white glue.

Una vez terminamos decoramos a nuestro gusto, yo he utilizado musgo y unas flores que tenía.

Once finished, decorate it to your liking, I used moss and some flowers I had.

¿Os gusta? Ahora que veo en la foto, caigo en cuenta que quedaría bien despegar la etiqueta y volverla a pegar al revés que en este caso sería al derecho😁, otra idea sería quitarla como en la foto de inspiración. Yo se las he dejado porque me gustan así también.

Do you like it? Now , seeing the photo, I realise that it would be good to peel off the label and stick it downwards, which in this case would be to the upwards😁, another idea would be to remove it as in the inspiration photo. I have left them because I like them that way too.

Podéis hacer uno o varios y utilizar juntos o individualmente. 

You can make one or several and use together or individually.

Yo he utilizado dos que quise ubicar en mi casa moderna.

I have used two that I wanted to place in my modern house.

Al final quedaron ubicadas en esta pared entre la cocina y el salón comedor. Me gusta mucho como quedan, creo que se ven modernos y dan un toque original.

They ended up on the wall between the kitchen and the dining room. I really like how they look, I think they look modern and give an original touch.

Y es todo, espero que os sirva la idea y os animéis a hacer el tutorial que es muy fácil.
