Avances y más avances/ Progress and more progress

Hola!

Es lo que hay. Con temor a aburriros con tantos avances de la cocina, que a lo mejor sobran, pero como tampoco quiero desaparecerme hasta que la cocina esté totalmente terminada, que falta aún. Hoy os traigo algunos muebles que están casi listos, aunque cada vez que me pongo a trabajar en algo más, quito, añado o acomodo cosas a lo que "supuestamente" está listo.

It is what it is. I am afraid I am boring you with so many advances of the kitchen, they might be too many, but I do not want to disappear until the kitchen is completely finished, as there´s still some way to go. Today I´m bringing some furniture that are almost ready, although every time I start working on other things I remove, add or arrange things to what "apparently" is ready.

Os muestro. Let me show you:

Esta foto tiene una historia, es un elemento clave en el mueblecillo de abajo. Creo que rompí cerca de 10 o 12 tenedores intentando conseguir 4 doblados. Aquí lo tienen.

This photo has a story. The forks are a key element in the little piece of furniture below. I think I broke about 10 or 12  trying to shape 4 of them. Here it is.

Un rincón para el te y el café/ A small tea/coffe corner.

Algo había que hacer con los pobres tenedores rotos que quedaron, soy incapaz de tirarlos sin siquiera intentar buscarles un uso. Como quería hacer unas florecillas con fimo, se me ocurrió lo siguiente.

Something had to be done with the poor broken forks that I had left. I was unable to throw them away without even trying to find them a use. As I wanted to make some flowers with fimo, I came up with the following.

En mi época, había estos cubiertos "de diario" que vendían en mercadillos y tenían mango plástico, los sacaba mi abuela a relucir cuando eramos muchos y no alcanzaban los de verdad, que tampoco era cosa de abusar. También estaban los de las ocasiones especiales, que solo se sacaban una vez al año jaja. En fin, que mis tenedores plásticos no quedaron tan mal y como irán de relleno en una gaveta, me libra de tirarlos.

In my time, there were these "daily" cutlery that were sold in cheap markets. They had a plastic handle, my grandmother used to take them out when there were many of us and they normal ones were not enough. There were also the special occasion ones, which were only taken out once a year lol. Anyway, my plastic forks are not so bad, and as they will be stored in a drawer, I don´t have to throw them away.

Con las florecillas adorné un juego de té, de los que vienen de china. Este lo compré porque me encantaron los colores combinando a juego. Son un poco grandes, pero me gustan lo suficiente para ignorarlo. De hecho todos los juegos de té que tengo son un poco grandes, no sé por qué, supongo que los 1:12 exactos serán muy caros.

With the little fimo flowers I decorated a tea set, one of those that come from China. I bought this one because I loved the matching colours . It is a bit big for the scale, but I like it enough to ignore it. In fact all the tea sets I have are a bit big, I do not know why, I guess the exact 1:12 are expensive.

Y aquí luce mi juego de té/ So, This is my tea set.

Sigo mostrando otros muebles/ Let me show you some more:

Me divertí mucho rellenando esta mesa. Aquí está esperando Rita alguna amiga invitada a comer o cenar o a la merienda. El caso es que Rita como buena abuela que se respete, prepara comida para un ejército y una simple  invitación al té se convierte en una comida de varios platos al mejor estilo gourmet :). Mejor que sobre y no que falte dicen las matronas de mi familia que padecen de lo mismo.

I had a lot of fun filling this table. Here Rita is waiting for a friend that she invited for lunch or dinner or a snack. The fact is that Rita, as a good grandmother, prepares food for an army and a simple invitation to tea becomes a multi-course meal in the best gourmet style :). It's better to overestimate than underestimate, say the women in my family who are just like Rita.

Sigo/ Let me continue.

Este mueble me ha divertido mucho. Es un mueble multiuso al que van a parar todas aquellas cosas que Rita va coleccionando y que no encuentran otro lugar. Aquí encontraremos desde su colección de teteras hasta botiquines, cajillas varias, adornos de toda clase y un sin fín de cosas más.

This piece of furniture has entertained me a lot. It is a multipurpose piece where all the things that Rita has collected and find no other place go. Here we will find from her teapots collection to medicine cabinets, various boxes, ornaments of all kinds and all sort of things.

El detalle de las flores plantadas en un cajón, seguramente serán plásticas jaja, es muy loco, y quizás por eso me encanta!!

The detail of the flowers planted in a drawer, surely they are plastic lol, is crazy, and maybe that's why I love it!

Otra estantería más/ Another shelf:

Me las ingenié para ponerle unos clavos de donde cuelgan las cosas, vamos que por realismo no sea.

I managed to put some nails where things hang, how realistic no? 

Ahora os muestro una vista del caos que es mi cuarto de las minis. Me gusta el orden, pero cuando trabajo soy muy caótica y voy sacando cosas sin guardar nada. Ah! como ven, trabajo en el suelo, no hay mesa que aguante mi desorden.

Now let me show you a view of the chaos that is my mini´s room . I like tidyness and being organised, but when I work I am very chaotic and I keep taking things out. As you can see, I work on the floor, there is no table big enough for my chaos.

Siempre tengo algun secretario ayudándome. Lo ven allí a la izquierda?
I always have a litttle secretary helping me. Can you see her on the left?

La cocina de Rita. Avances II/ Rita´s kitchen. Progress II

Hola,

No sé que me pasa este verano, o si lo sé, tengo tanto trabajo que me queda poca cabeza para nada más. Sin embargo, las minis son siempre ese remanso que te relaja cuando más lo necesitas.

Antes de que pase más tiempo sin publicar nada, les seguiré mostrando los pocos o muchos avances de mi cocina. Lo siento, todavía no es el producto terminado, tengo tantas ideas, que es de justicia no apurar las cosas y poder ir haciéndolas poco a poco.

Sigo tuneando y pintando pequeños detalles en los muebles con mis manos de gnomo porque de hada no son, jaja:

I do not know what happens to me this summer, or I do, I have so much work that I have little head left for anything else. However, the minis are always that thing that relaxes me when I need it the most. 

Before taking more time without posting anything, I want to show you the little or much progress I have made in my kitchen. Sorry, it is still not the finished product, I have so many ideas, that it is better not to rush things and to be able to do them little by little. 

I keep customising and painting small details on the furniture with my gnome hands because I don´t have fairy hands, lol:

Y la lámpara terminada, falta solo instalarla correctamente. Lo siento por la calidad de las fotos, es dificil tomarle una buena foto a esta lámpara:

And the finished lamp, I just need to install it correctly. I'm sorry for the quality of the photos, it's hard to take a good picture of this lamp:

Y por último, cómo va tomando forma la cocina. Cuando necesito relajarme pero no tengo mucha energía para hacer nada, me pongo a acomodar cositas y a jugar con los accesorios.

And finally, how the kitchen is taking shape. When I need to relax but I don´t have much energy to do anything, I put things up and play with the accessories.
