Calendario de Adviento 2023/Advent Calendar 2023

 

Un año más tengo el honor de participar en el calendario de Adviento de Matxalen el cual nos despierta la ilusión miniaturil por estas fechas.

Hoy os traigo algo que hice hace un par de años para una de mis casitas y me gustó mucho, además es fácil y los materiales los tenemos todos por lo que me parece que puede ser útil.

Son camisas dobladas para poner de atrezzo en nuestras casitas.

Necesitaréis cartoncillo, tela de algodón con estampado acorde a la escala (también puede ser lisa, por qué no), pegamento y unas 3 o 4 cuentas muy pequeñitas. De herramientas solo necesitaréis tijeras y un palillo de dientes para aplicar el pegamento.

Lo primero es cortar un rectángulo de cartoncillo, las medidas que usé son 2 x 3 cm, pero también medí una camisa de mi marido doblada y al miniaturizarla me dio 2,7 x 1,8 cm. Sinceramente he de decir que si las poneis en un cajon la medida más pequeña es mejor, pero si váis a ponerla encima de una cama a modo de quien se prepara para vestirse, la medida más grande también está bien.

One more year I have the honor of participating in Matxalen´s Advent calendar which brings miniature excitement to these dates.

Today I present something that I made a couple of years ago for one of my houses and I really liked it, it's also easy and we all have the materials so I think it could be useful.

They are folded shirts to use as props in our houses.

You will need cardboard, cotton fabric with a print according to the scale (it can also be plain, why not), glue and about 3 or 4 super tiny beads. For tools you will only need scissors and a toothpick to apply the glue.

The first thing is to cut a cardboard rectangle, the measurements I used are 2 x 3 cm, but I also measured my husband's folded shirt and when I miniaturized it it gave me 2.7 x 1.8 cm. I honestly have to say that if you put them in a drawer, the smaller size is better, but if you are going to put it on a bed like someone getting ready to get dressed, the larger size is good too.

Luego corta un trozo de tela que cubra el cartoncillo por completo, y deja un borde como en la foto. Otra cosa importante es el tipo de tela, probad como va con el pegamento porque hay telas que son una pesadilla para manejar y pegar.

Then cut a piece of fabric that covers the cardboard completely and leave an edge as in the photo. Another important thing is the type of fabric, try how it goes with the glue because there are fabrics that are a nightmare to handle and glue.

Corta los bordes de la manera que muestro arriba, así no quedaran dobleces no deseados. Otra cosa, al poner la tela al cartoncillo, también pega la parte delantera para que quede mejor y no abulte o haga aire.

Cut the edges the way I show above, so there are no unwanted folds. Another thing, when putting the fabric on the cardboard, also glue it on the front so that it fits better and doesn't bulge or gets air.

Así debe quedar la parte trasera. Debajo muestro las primeras que hice y aunque dan el pego porque no se ve la parte trasera, es mejor hacer las cosas bien, ¿no?

This is how the back should look. Below I show the first ones I made and although they are ok because you don´t see the back, it's better to do things right, right?

Luego corta una tira de unos 8 milimetros de ancho y 4 cm de largo, pon pegamento y dobla. Deja secar un rato, si intentamos usarla enseguida, tiende a despegarse, por lo menos eso me pasó a mí. Mejor si ponemos algo pesado encima para que quedé bien pegada a todo lo largo.

Then cut a strip about 8 millimeters wide and 4 cm long, put glue and fold. Let it dry for a while, if we try to use it right away, it tends to come off, at least that happened to me. Better if we put something heavy on top so that it sticks well along its entire length.

Esta tira servira para el cuello. Para hacerlo pon pegamento en las puntas y dobla como muestro. ¿Veis lo que digo de dejar secar? al doblarla va abultando y despegándose si no está seca.

This strip will be used for the collar. To do this put glue on the ends and bend it as I show. See what I say about letting it dry? When you fold it, it bulges and comes off if it is not dry.

Una vez pegadas las puntas en el centro superior pon pegamento en la parte superior de la camisa y presiona suavemente con los dedos para que el borde del cuello se pegue.

Once the ends are glued in the upper center, apply glue on the upper part of the shirt and press gently with your fingers so that the edge of the collar sticks.

Así queda. Aquí en la foto todavía se ve que el borde de arriba no está bien pegado, pero sigue aplicando presión y se logrará. Luego ponemos otra tira igual a la del cuello (pero más corta, yo la medí a ojo) y pegamos verticalmente. Es donde irán los botones.

This is how it looks. In the photo you can still see that the top edge is not glued properly, but keep applying pressure and it will happen. Then put another strip equal to the one on the collar (but shorter, I measured it by eye) and glue it vertically. It's where the buttons will go.

Me parece a mí que queda más realista si la tira se dobla y pega a la cara trasera.

I think that it looks more realistic if you fold the strip and glue it to the back.

Luego pon las mini cuentas a manera de botones y ya está.

Then put the mini beads as buttons and that's it.

Aquí muestro varias medidas y estampados, las dos de arriba las hice probando hacer camisas femeninas, a ver que salía. Mis favoritas son las de hombre, las telas de rayas y cuadros dan mejor el pego, creo.

Here I show various sizes and prints, I made the two above trying to make women shirts, to see what would come out. My favorites are men's, striped and checked fabrics look better, I think.

Finalmente adornad vuestras casitas y ponerlas en donde os parezca mejor. Aquí las pongo encima de la cama a modo de ¿qué me pongo?

Finally, decorate your houses and put them where you see fit. Here I put them on the bed as a kind of what should I wear?

También en un cajón van bien.

They also fit well in a drawer.
