Calendario de Adviento 2021/ Advent Calendar 2021

 

Hola,

Una vez más mi cita anual con el calendario de Adviento de Matxalen, es mi 4ª participación creo y este año se cumplen 10 años de este calendario tan popular y que esperamos con ilusión cada año. Felicidades Matxalen por este gran logro, que sean muchos más.

Once again my annual appointment with Matxalen´s Advent calendar, it is my 4th participation I think and this year marks the 10th anniversary of this popular calendar that we look forward to every year. Congratulations Matxalen on this great achievement, may there be many more.

Bueno, tenía muchas ideas, hice varias pruebas y nada me convencía, pero resulta que necesitaba hacer una mesa de centro de salón para mi casa boho-moderna y como me ha gustado el resultado, me he decidido por este tutorial.

Well, I had many ideas, I did several tests and nothing really convinced me, but I needed to make a living room coffee table for my boho-modern house and since I liked the result, I have decided on this tutorial.

Solo necesitaréis madera, cúter, lija para suavizar los cortes, tinta al agua para teñir madera y un poco de pintura si deseáis darle un aspecto envejecido que es lo que he hecho yo. También algún ornamento en madera si queréis personalizarla más. 

You will only need wood, cutter, sandpaper to soften the cuts, water-based ink to stain wood and some paint if you want to give it an aged look, which is what I have done. Also some ornament in wood if you want to personalize it more. 

He utilizado madera de balsa que es la que menos me cuesta trabajar porque es fácil de cortar, aunque no es el mejor material pues es frágil, cuesta pegarla (por lo menos a mí) y se comba al pintar. Sin embargo he utilizado esta cola que muestro, que es de secado rápido y me ha evitado los problemas de un secado muy demorado.

I have used balsa wood, which is the one that costs me the least to work with as it is easy to cut, although it is not the best material because it is fragile, difficult to glue it (at least for me) and it warps when painting. However, I have used this glue that I show here, which is fast drying and has avoided the problems of a very delayed drying.

Mis medidas para la base y la parte superior son 10x8cm y los laterales 5x3. Es grande porque quiero una mesa grande, es un salón grande y el sofá también lo es dentro de la escala 1:12 y además quiero bastante espacio para poner muchos accesorios. Vosotros podéis cambiar las medidas y hacerla más pequeña si así lo deseáis. Mi sugerencia es que la hagáis proporcional al sofa con el que la vais a combinar.

My measurements are for the base and the top 10x8cm and the sides 5x3. It is large because I want a large table, it is a large living room and the sofa is also large, on the 1:12 scale. I also want enough space to put many accessories. You can change the measurements and make it smaller if you wish. My suggestion is that you make it proportional to the sofa which you are going to combine it with.

El próximo paso es poner sobre la base una de las maderas laterales y dibujar su contorno, intercalando en cada lado de la base como os muestro.

The next step is to put one of the sides on the base and draw its outline, inserting it on each side of the base as shown:

De esta forma los laterales van pegados al lado de la base y no sobre ella. Da un toque más interesante al diseño. Luego cortáis por las líneas, así:

In this way, the sides are glued to the side of the base and not on it. Give a more interesting touch to the design. Then you cut along the lines, like this:

Y a pegar los laterales/ then glue the sides:

Y luego la parte superior presionando con cuidado para que se pegue bien.

And then the upper part pressing carefully so that it sticks well.

Esta vez he puesto el tinte luego de que la mesa está armada y pegada para evitar que se combe o al menos para minimizarlo y funcionó.

This time I have put the dye after the table is assembled and glued to avoid warping or at least to minimize it and it worked.

Se tiñe por dentro y por fuera con un pincel  pasando un trapo para quitar el exceso.

It is dyed inside and out with a brush, passing a cloth to remove the excess.

Para hacer la mesa más alta y realista hay que pegar una pieza de contacto con el suelo, no quise usar patas sino hacerla diferente y más moderna. Yo he usado una pieza redonda que tenía y me pareció ideal, pero podéis cortar una madera cuadrada más gruesa y de menores medidas también.

To make the table taller and more realistic, you have to stick a piece in contact with the floor, I didn't want to use legs but to make it different and more modern. I have used a round piece that I had and it seemed ideal, but you can cut thicker and smaller square wood as well.

Aquí ya podríamos darla por terminada poniendo un poco de cera y ya. Pero he decidido hacerla más original y más en sintonía con mi casa. 

Here we could finish it by putting some wax and that's it. But I have decided to make it more original and more in tune with my house.

He puesto ornamentos de madera en las esquinas laterales y he envejecido con pintura a la tiza color crema que he aplicado a grandes pinceladas y luego quitado con trapo hasta conseguir el efecto deseado. Un tip es pasar el pincel con pintura por los bordes, da un efecto muy guay. 

I have put wooden ornaments in the side corners and I have aged with cream chalk paint that I have applied in large strokes and then wiped off until the desired effect is achieved. A tip is to brush with paint around the edges, it gives a very cool effect.

Perdonad pero me encanta!! Una mesa moderna y diferente. 

Ahora os muestro como queda decorada. He usado accesorios que han sido regalos, de Rosa los gatitos, de Eloísa el candelabro, de Ferlop el libro, la bandeja de hoja es mía y ¿quién no tienes flores y un jarrón? También he aprovechado los huecos interiores para poner unos libros y una pequeña torre Eiffel, las posibilidades son muchas. ¿No creéis que queda muy bonita?

Sorry but I love it !! A modern and different table.

Now let me show you how I decorated it. I used accessories that have been gifts, from Rosa the kittens, from Eloísa the candle holder, from Ferlop the book, the leave tray is mine and who doesn't have flowers and a vase? I have also use the interior spaces to put some books and a small Eiffel tower, the possibilities are endless. Don't you think it is very pretty?
