La cabaña: el interior/ The cabin: the interior

Hola!

Today, I finally bring the inside of the finished cabin. I have had it decorated for several days and I like it so much that every day I go into the room where it is placed just to contemplate it. Every time I add something, change another, something occurs to me, but I can say that it is 98% finished.

I am posting many photos, I have not been able to reduce them to less, they seem repetitions but some change in angle or light prevents me from erasing it, lol.

By the way, my initial plans changed a lot, I was thinking of making it more dirty, ramshackle and abandoned, but its size and Manuel's sweet face prevented it, I didn't see Manuel in that type of house, I see him better here, in this humble but homely cabin that he shares with Gertudis whenever they can.

Well, I leave you with the photos and I hope you like the interior of Manuel and Gertrudis's cabin.

The wonderful cross stitch pictures made by Dina specially for this cabin 😍

The lamps in this room are temporary, I wanted to put some light on it, but I have not found the ideal lamps and to pay for something that does not convince me, I prefer to improvise a bit until I find or come up with something better.

La planta baja/ the ground floor:

Manuel is not a hunter nor a violent person, he is peaceful and does not like weapons but in these remote places it is better to be protected, so he has a rifle at hand just in case. There are also no children, so he can place it where it will be available in an emergency.

Here we have Curry in his favourite place, in front of the fireplace. Cats love warmth so Curry lives happily here.

Fish on the counter, recently caught by Manuel, ready to be prepared for a delicious dinner. I made these little fish myself in fimo and then painted them with acrylic and nail polish. It's funny, since I didn't find what I was looking for, I took the risk of doing them. At first I didn't like them and I laughed a lot, but every time I see them I like them more. I thought about changing them when I got the ideal ones, but I won't, I like them as they are!

And now some last photos playing with the light.

The cabin in darkness, as it would look on a cold winter night.

¿Os gusta? a mí, modestia aparte, me encanta!

Do you like it? to me, modesty aside, I love it! There are things by Carmen, of course, by Dina as I already said and by Begoca, Solaire, Paloma (Axión) and Ram, my apologies if I forget someone.

Es todo por hoy. Cuidaos y nos vemos pronto.

Is all for today. Take care, see you soon.

Alex 😘😘😘

  12. Hi Alex! There are so many things to love about this little cabin!!! I completely understand turning on the lights and "playing" every day! (I do this too!) The cabin looks so warm and cozy and well loved... I agree that you didn't need to make it all worn out... much better to be well loved and lived in and happy! I am sure that Manuel and Gertrudis have spent many happy years here! :) The plaid blanket on the chair is gorgeous! And the quilts on the beds are too! I want to stay here! LOL! Your fish were a great "experiment" and they look perfect to me! Keep up the great work and stay safe! :)

  16. I just love this cabin so much, Alex! From the rock wall to the beamed ceiling to all of the quaint little touches sprinkled throughout the project, you have made a charming and well appointed home for Manuel and Gertudis! It has been so much to follow as you had fun creating this special project, and seeing how even during a pandemic, your clever and thoughtful mind came up with solutions for scarce materials. Bravo!!! I can't wait to see where your passion for minis takes us next!

  22. Please excuse my honesty - but after studying your photos I found something I really dislike about Manuel's and Gertrudis' cabin... And my very critical statement goes like this: Rats, this lovely, beautiful project is finished now! *LOL* Okay, as finished as a project can be... but apart from some future additions it's decorated so lovely with well chosen details adding to the cozy atmosphere and telling the story of the inhabitants. I really enjoyed all your photos showing the details so well... and it was fun to discover the contributions of friends. Whoever is decorating a kitchen can be thankful for having Carmen as a friend! ;O) But I'm also in awe with your fishies, so good you gave it a try - and they're keepers for sure.

Go on visiting this stunning cabin with and without the lights - you really deserve to enjoy this fabulous project afer all your stunning work. But wait a minute... hey, it just occurs to me... we're not done yet... yes, we need more wonderful pictures of the cabin... because the most important components of this house are missing on the photos. I really want to see Manuel and Gertrudis sitting in front of the fireplace being happy with each other and their lives. ;O)

    Hugs
    Birgit
