Feria de Kensitong: Show de Navidad/Kensington´s Festival: Christmas Show 2022

 

Hola, esta vez he regresado muy pronto para contaros un poco sobre la feria de Kensington que tuve la fortuna de visitar por 2ª vez. La cuestión es que programando una visita cerca a Navidad a mi hija de Londres (y utilizando las últimas vacaciones que me quedaban) vi que el 3 de diciembre se realizaba la feria y pude cuadrar las fechas de mi viaje para poder asistir una vez más. Fue una muy buena decisión por supuesto.

Había muchísima gente y debo decir que al principio fue un poco difícil acceder a las mesas y mucho más tomar fotos, sobre todo porque siempre me gusta pedir permiso antes de tomarlas y los expositores estaban muy ocupados lidiando con tanta gente en sus mesas. Me puse a dar vueltas buscando las menos llenas y pasado cierto tiempo me di por vencida en cuanto a tomar fotos pues decidí concentrarme en observar bien las mesas y disfrutar de la feria. Algunas veces reflexiono acerca de la necesidad de tomar fotos al punto de que casi no disfrutamos de la experiencia en sí, esta vez decidí que me concentraría en la feria misma. Ahora os pongo las pocas fotos que tomé.

Hello, this time I have returned very soon to tell you a little about the Kensington fair that I was lucky enough to visit for the 2nd time. The point is that by scheduling a visit to my daughter in London close to Christmas (and using the last vacation I had left) I saw that the fair was taking place on December 3 and I was able to balance the dates of my trip to be able to attend once again. It was a very good decision of course.

There were a lot of people and I must say that at first it was a bit difficult to access the tables and even more difficult to take photos, especially since I always ask permission before taking photos and the exhibitors were very busy dealing with so many people at their tables. I started walking around looking for less crowded tables and the truth is that after a while I gave up on taking photos and decided to concentrate on taking a good look at the tables. Sometimes I reflect on our need to take photos to the point that we don't enjoy the experience as much as we should and I decided to focus on the fair itself. Now I am going to show you the few photos I took.

Bueno 25 fotos tampoco son tan pocas jaja, pero creedme que a lo mejor solo cubrí un 30% de las mesas. Eché en falta más mesas con materiales para hacer minis propias y esas pequeñas curiosidades al alcance de todos los presupuestos que hay en ellas. Eso sí, había maravillas y muchas obras de arte de esas que te hacen suspirar y querer ser millonaria para comprar todo jaja. Ahora os muestro mis compras. No recuerdo a todos los artesanos a quienes compré algo, pero al que recuerde os lo pondré en el pie de foto. 

Well, 25 photos aren't so few either lol, but believe me, maybe I only covered about 30% of the tables. I missed more tables with materials to make my own minis and those little curiosities within reach of all budgets that are in them. Of course, there were wonders and works of art, those that make you sigh and want to be a millionaire to buy everything lol. Now let me show you my purchases.I don't remember all the artisans I bought something from, but I'll put the ones I remember in the captions.

El anexo/ The annex

 

Hola!

Hoy os traigo la penúltima estancia de mi casita Boho 2.0. Es un anexo que trajo la casa y he decidido que sea una estancia de estar, de relajación y descanso o de recibir visitas, una salita que se dice.

En esta estancia he podido aprovechar cosas que tenía guardadas esperando su turno, como la silla Acapulco del fondo que al final cambié por otra que tenía esperando también y es una silla-columpio colgante, y el juego de "mimbre" que compré hace algún tiempo porque me encantó cuando lo vi y estaba esperando esta oportunidad.

La decoración de las paredes la hice yo, al fondo hay un marco dorado decorado con plantas suculentas sacado de esas ideas de la Web. Y como cortinas una cinta de flecos que vi un día y enseguida la imaginé con ese propósito. Al final la recogí en tres cuerpos.

Las lámparas también son hechas por mí.

Hay fotos de diferentes momentos por lo que se ven algunos pequeños cambios que fui haciendo conforme avanzaba. Los últimos fueron después de que añadiera unos tesoros traídos de la feria de Kensington que son los narcisos, una mesa macetero que es una belleza y las flores encima de esta. Ya haré una pequeña entrada para contaros de la feria.

Y es todo por hoy. Dejo la charla y os dejo con las fotos.

Today I am showing you one of the last rooms of my Boho house 2.0. It is an annex that came with the house and I decided to make it as a room for relaxing, resting and for receiving visitors, a small living room. 

In this room I have been able to use things that I had waiting for their turn, such as the Acapulco chair at the back which I finally changed for another one that I also had waiting and it is a hanging chair-swing, and the "wicker" set that I bought some time ago because I loved it when I saw it and I was waiting for this opportunity.

The decoration of the walls was done by me.  In the background there is a golden frame decorated with succulent plants inspired by those ideas on the Web. And as curtains, a fringed ribbon that I saw one day and immediately imagined for this purpose. In the end I tied it in three parts.

The lamps are also made by me.

There are photos from different moments so you can see some small changes I made as I progressed. The last ones were after I added some treasures brought from the Kensington fair. those are the daffodils, a beautiful planter table and the flowers on top of it. I will write a small entry to tell you about the fair.

Luces.../ Lights...

 

Hola!

Ya lo sé, tengo un poco abandonado el blog y si lo confieso también tengo abandonadas las minis. Hay épocas de épocas, estoy estudiando, también leyendo más y después del caos que es siempre mi trabajo en verano, he tenido unos meses de septiembre y octubre ocupados con cosas muy gratas. 

Arriba, ¡por fin! podeis ver las fotos con mi hija y nieto que nos visitan. Hoy salgo una semana de vacaciones para poder dedicarme 100% a ellos y disfrutarlos al máximo.

También estuve de visita en Israel, la familia materna de mi marido es de allá y fue un viaje muy emocional por muchas razones. La mejor satisfacción además de visitar sitios tan sagrados fue ver a David conmovido por recuperar parte de sus recuerdos de juventud.

I know, I have abandoned my blog a bit and if I confess it I also have abandoned miniatures for a while. There are times of times, I am studying, also reading more and after the chaos that is always my job in summer, September and October have been busy with very pleasant things.

Above, finally! You can see the photos with my daughter and grandson who are visiting us. Today I'm going on vacation for a week so I can dedicate myself 100% and enjoy them to the fullest.

I also visited Israel, my husband's maternal family is from there and it was a very emotional trip for many reasons. The best satisfaction besides visiting such sacred sites was seeing David so moved as he recovered part of his youth memories. 

Así que entre tantos distractores no he hecho mucho, tampoco he sido asidua de los blogs como acostumbraba, tengo la sensación de que no soy la única, esto anda muy quieto por estos lares. Sin embargo con miras al viaje a Israel y para llevar un pequeño regalo a las personas con las que nos alojaríamos hice una pequeña cúpula que os muestro:

So among so many distractions I have not done much, nor have I been assiduous of blogs as usual. I have the feeling that I am not the only one and it seems quiet around here. However, with a view to the trip to Israel and to give a small gift to the people we stayed with, I made a small dome, let me show you:

Nada del otro mundo, solo puse un suelo, busqué algún mueble que encajara, hice un pequeño bolso y zapatos, arreglé una maceta y ya, daba para poco más, pero creo que cumplió su cometido y a sus destinatarios les gustó.

Por último quiero mostraros unas fotos recientes de mi casa bohemia con sus luces encendidas que no lo había registrado aquí en el blog, de ahí el título de la entrada.

Nothing fancy, I just put a floor, looked for a piece of furniture that would fit, made a small bag and shoes, fixed a flowerpot and that's it, it was enough to fill such a small space, but I think it fulfilled its purpose and its recipients liked it.

Finally, I want to show you some recent photos of my bohemian house with its lights on that I hadn't recorded here on the blog, hence the title of the post.
