La casa de Tulio y Carmen terminada!/ Tulio and Carmen´s house finished!

Holaaaaa,

Una sola entrada hice en mayo y es que aunque me faltaba poco para terminar, los últimos toques me dieron uno o dos quebraderos de cabeza, pero aquí estoy nuevamente mostrándoles finalmente la casa terminada o casi.

Primero, cuando os mostré el salón dije que me hacían falta una planta o dos. Bueno, el caso es que me antojé de una planta que vi en el blog de Birgit y decidí pedir el kit y hacerla, es una palmera o palma y la verdad es que es fantástica, os recomiendo esta miniaturista, los materiales son de excelente calidad y las instrucciones muy claras y fáciles de seguir.

I only made one entry in May, and it is that although I was close to finishing it, the last touches gave me one or two headaches. But here I am again finally showing the finished or almost finished house. 

When I first showed the living-room, I said I needed a plant or two. Well, the fact is that I wanted a plant I saw on Birgit´s blog so I decided to order the kit and make it.  It is a palm tree and is fantastic, I recommend this miniaturist, the materials are of excellent quality and come with very clear and easy to follow instructions.

Luego continué con las jardineras de la fachada, debido a que están expuestas no quise complicarme con flores muy elaboradas que el polvo pueda dañar. Un regalo de Caro me vino al pelo, unos pequeños arbolitos mini que desarmé y arreglé como flores.

Then I continued with the planters on the facade.  Because they are exposed I did not want to complicate myself with very elaborate flowers that the dust can damage. A gift from Caro was perfect, some small mini trees that I took apart and arranged like flowers.

Primero hice las jardineras con cartón pluma, pinté y envejecí para que se vieran más reales.

First I made the planters with cardboard, which I painted and aged to make them look more real.

Y aquí están las flores las cuales complementé con musgo, también regalo de Carolina.

And here are the flowers which I complemented with moss, also a gift from Carolina.

Para la otra fachada utilicé además restos de plantas que tengo entre mis materiales con algunas flores recortadas. Así quedó:

For the other facade I used plant remains that I have among my stash with some cut flowers. So I this is it:

Pero faltaba algo... Cuando hice las fachadas interiores os conté que tenía algunas ideas para las ventanas, el caso es que la primera, la segunda y la tercera idea no funcionaron 🤦‍♀️. Esta es la principal razón de mi retraso, la fachada me parecía muy sosa y nada funcionaba.

Luego tuve una idea y gracias a que el confinamiento se ha ido relajando y ya podemos salir y la mayoría de los negocios están abiertos, hice una excursión a una tienda de variedades y afortunadamente encontré lo que buscaba, unas etiquetas de scrapbooking que me parecieron ideales:

But something was missing ... When I made the interior facades I told you that I had some ideas for the windows, the fact is that the first, second and third ideas did not work 🤦‍♀️. This is the main reason for my delay, the facade seemed very bland and nothing worked.

Then I had an idea and thanks to the lock down been relaxed , now we can go out and most shops are open. I took a trip to a variety store and luckily I found what I was looking for, some scrapbooking labels that seemed ideal :

Además como ven, muy baratitas, 3 por menos de 1€. Con pintura y tijeras hice la decoración perfecta para los ventanales, o a mí me lo parece porque me he quedado muy contenta y satisfecha de mí misma jeje.

Also as you can see, very cheap, 3 for less than 1€. With paint and scissors I made the perfect decoration for the windows, or that seems to me because I am very happy and satisfied with myself Lol.

No está mucho mejor? Yo creo que sí.

Quizás más adelante ponga alguna otra cosilla, por lo pronto la doy por terminada. Tengo la idea de hacer alguna otra cosa para la fachada o el interior, pero más como proyectos individuales que hacer cuando me apetezca.

Ahora os muestro un resumen fotográfico de todas las estancias. Si sois detallistas a lo mejor notaréis que he añadido o cambiado algún accesorio aquí y allá:

Maybe later I will put some other things, for now I declare it finished. I have the idea to do other things for the facade and the interior, but more as individual projects to do when I feel like it.

Después de que todas las luces encendían sin problema, la luz de la habitación a la izquierda sacó la mano, no sé que pasó, intenté de todo pero no hubo manera. Tendré que cambiarla cuando encuentre otra igual en algún momento futuro ahhggg.

After all the lights turned on without a problem, the light in the bedroom on the left did not work, I don't know what happened, I tried everything but there was no way. I will have to change it when I find another like it, sometime in the future ahhggg.

Algunas fotos no salieron tan bien como hubiese querido, demasiada claridad, pero espero que hayáis disfrutado de esta casita, y de como poco a poco fui transformándola hasta hacerla el lugar ideal para Carmen y Tulio. Gracias por acompañarme en esta aventura.

El salón de Carmen y Tulio

Hola!

La última estancia terminada, a falta de una planta que va en la maceta a la derecha, creo que ya es todo.

La idea es que en este salón Carmen y Tulio reciban a sus amistades o les sirva de estancia para relajarse, tocar el piano, jugar una partida de ajedrez o tomar el café o té.

The last room is finished, in the absence of a plant that goes in the pot on the right, I think that is all.

In this room Carmen and Tulio receive their friends and it is also a room to relax, play the piano, play a chess game or have coffee or tea.

Las fotos de arriba son mis tías (una de ellas descansa en paz) y mi madre queridas cuando eran jóvenes y bellas, aunque bellas lo siguen siendo 😊. Mi madre es la del centro.

The photos above are my dear aunts (one of them rests in peace) and my mother when they were young and beautiful, well they are still beautiful 😊. My mother is the one in the centre.

Estos bellos cojines de crochet son de Lourdes, cómo me gustan!

These beautiful crochet cushions are made by Lourdes, I like them a lot!

En realidad es una estancia muy sencilla pero elegante a mi parecer, creo que el toque lo dan los suelos y paredes y la alfombra, por eso no quise recargarla con montones de accesorios, solo unos cuantos cuadros en las paredes y algunos adornos y accesorios aquí y allá sin recargar la estancia.

It is actually a very simple room but elegant in my opinion, I think the floors, walls and the carpet set the mood, so I did not want to overload it with lots of accessories, just a few pictures on the walls and some ornaments and accessories here and there.  

Aquí pueden observar la pared frontal que se abre, debido a que las ventanas no son simétricas me costó un poco decidir el tipo de cortinas, al final decidí no complicarme la existencia y opté por este sencillo modelo con una cenefa de terciopelo en azul marino (ja, no es terciopelo realmente sino fieltro pero a mí me lo parece).

Here you can see the opening front wall. It took me a little to decide the type of curtains because the windows are not symmetric. In the end I decided to do not complicate my life and chose this simple model with a velvet border in navy blue (ha, It is not really velvet but felt but it seems velvet to me).

Aquí pueden ver a Tulio feliz y relajado preparándose para una partida de ajedrez. Mmm, no es buena cosa que Tulio fume ni fumar en casa tampoco pero no pude resistirme a este cenicero con su respectiva cajetilla de tabaco.

Here you can see Tulio happy and relaxed getting ready for a chess game. Hmm, it is not a good thing that Tulio smokes or smoking at home either but I could not resist this ashtray with its pack of tobacco.

Y es todo, como dije me falta terminar la planta que irá en la maceta de la derecha y nada más, es probable que con el tiempo vaya añadiendo cosas pero solo si me gustan y según se me vaya ocurriendo. Tengo el defecto de querer poner mucho y en esta casa he tenido el cuidado de solo incluir las cosas que creo que van y funcionan evitando añadir cosas solo porque sí o porque las tenga. ¿Qué os parece? ¿Os gusta?

And this is all, as I said I need to finish the plant that will go in the pot on the right and nothing else, it is likely that over time I will add things but only if I like them and as I think of them. I have the defect of wanting to put a lot but in this house I have been careful to only include the things I think would work and avoid adding things just because or because I have them. What do you think? Do you like it?

Una cosilla más. Ya he terminado las paredes frontales, y ya mostré la correspondiente al salón pero no he mostrado la de la cocina. Así quedó:

El baño terminado/ The finished bathroom

Hola!

Espero que esta nueva semana les encuentre bien de salud y de ánimo.

Sigo avanzando en la casa de Tulio y Carmen. Hoy traigo el baño, que doy casi por terminado, los últimos toques los mostraré cuando muestre la casa al completo.

Esta será una entrada pequeña, pues es una estancia pequeña que no da mucho más de decir y de fotos.

I hope this new week finds you in good health and good spirits.

I keep moving forward with Tulio and Carmen's house. Today I bring the bathroom, which is almost finished,  I will show any last touches when the whole house is completed.

This will be a small entry, as it is a small room that does not give much more to say and photos to take.

Este mueble es una alacena de cocina que gané en el Sorteazo y fue la aportación de Carolina. Lo cambié un poco para convertirlo en un mueble para el baño. Pueden ver que está empapelado en el fondo y cambié las piezas que eran verdes por madera, simplemente cubriéndolas con papel autoadhesivo imitación madera. Tiene una caja de Carmen, jabones de Paloma y Santiaga, y de alguien más que, perdón, no recuerdo. Luego rellené con unos frascos decorativos y toallas hechas por mí.

This piece of furniture is a kitchen cupboard that I won in "el Sorteazo" and it was Carolina's contribution. I changed it a bit to make it into a bathroom cabinet. You can see the paper in the background and that I changed the green pieces for wood, by simply covering them with self-adhesive wood imitation paper. It has a box by Carmen, soaps from Paloma and Santiaga, and someone else who, sorry, I don't remember. Then I filled it with some decorative jars and towels made by me.

Las alfombrillas del suelo, imitando las de nuestras abuelas, las hice simplemente recortando fieltro azul marino, el toallero es hecho con abalorios y la toalla es de Maluga. El espejo lo hice con un marco de madera, al que añadí el espejo, los adornos y pinté de dorado. Los frascos de lociones y jabones del lavabo y bañera los hice con cápsulas, recortables y abalorios como tantas veces se muestra en la red. También coloqué unos apliques de pared que rellené con musgo a manera de plantas artificiales.

I made the floor mats, imitating those of our grandmothers, simply by cutting out navy blue felt, the towel rack is made with beads and the towel is from Maluga. I made the mirror with a wooden frame, to which I added the mirror, the decorations and painted in gold. The lotions bottles and soaps on the sink and bathtub I made with capsules, cut-outs and beads as so often shown on the Web. I also placed some wall sconces that I filled with moss as artificial plants.

En plena crisis del papel higiénico me dije que a Carmen y Tulio no les faltaría y me puse en ello. También me vino al pelo pues no se me ocurría cómo decorar la pared que abre en frente y encontré entre mis cosas el mueble perfecto para adornarla y de paso colocar la reserva de papel higiénico necesaria.

In the midst of the toilet paper crisis, I thought that Carmen and Tulio would not be lacking it and I made some rolls. It also fit me as I did not know how to decorate the opening front wall, I found among my things the perfect piece of furniture to decorate it and incidentally place the necessary toilet paper reserve.

Les gusta? La planta de Eloísa queda perfecta! no creen?

Y aquí las cosas en su lugar. Una cesta de flores que gané en el blog de Tere, una jaula también de ella de un intercambio creo y una jofaina. A falta de cortinas me parece que queda un rincón encantador.

And here things are in place. A basket with flowers that I won on Tere's blog, a cage also from her from an swap I think and a wash-basin. In the absence of curtains I think it´s a charming corner.

Y ahora el baño completo/ And the completed bathroom:

Notan algo? Hace falta la grifería de la bañera!!! Sé que la tengo, recuerdo ponerla a salvo mientras llegaba el momento de pegarla y ahora no la encuentro, pero ya aparecerá, espero que antes de tomar las fotos definitivas de la casa completa. También veo ahora que la tablilla de la bañera es un poco gruesa, la cambiaré por otra más fina como la del lavabo.

Y este es el baño de Tulio y Carmen:

Do you notice anything? The bathtub faucet is missing !!! I know I have it, I remember keeping it safe while it was time to glue it and now I can't find it. It will appear, hopefully before the final photos of the entire house. I also see now that the slat in the bathtub is a bit thick, I will change it for a thinner one like the one on the sink.

And this is Tulio and Carmen's bathroom:
