Mi casa moderna terminada!/ My modern house is finished!

Hola!!

Os dije que nos veríamos pronto y os traería la casa terminada. Y así es, está casi terminada, solo falta pintar el revés de la fachada, hacer estores para las ventanas y el marco de la puerta de la sala de estar. Pero esas tareas serán para otro día pues debo empezar ya mi nuevo proyecto. Ya os hablaré de él. Por el momento no pienso cambiar la fachada, quizás en algún momento en el futuro cuando tenga las ideas más claras de como debe lucir esta casa en el exterior. Por el momento no lo tengo claro, no se me ocurre nada y prefiero esperar a hacer algo solo por hacerlo.

I told you I would be back soon to bring the finished house. That's right, it's almost finished, I just need to paint the back of the facade, make blinds for the windows and the door frame of the lounge. But those tasks will be for another day as I have to start my new project. I will tell you about it later. At the moment I'm not going to change the facade, maybe at some point in the future when I have a clear idea of how this house should look on the outside. At the moment I do not have it clear, I cannot think of anything and I rather wait than do something just because.

Os traigo muchas fotos como siempre, más bien más que nunca, espero que os gusten, mil gracias por vuestra compañía durante esta aventura que debo decir disfruté muchísimo, ha sido un verdadero placer ir armando cada estancia, hacer pequeños detalles y ver como poco a poco se han ido materializando las ideas que tenía en un principio. 

También he buscado el post que escribí el 12 de octubre del año pasado sobre mis planes para esta casa para contrastarlo con el resultado final. 

I bring many photos as always, maybe more than ever. I hope you like them. Many thanks for your companionship during this adventure that I must say I enjoyed a lot, it has been a real pleasure to build each room, make small details and see step by step how the ideas I had at first have materialised.

I have also searched for the post I wrote on October 12 last year about my plans for this house in order to contrast them with the final result.

Esto dije "La idea es intentar un estilo diferente. Será una casa en su mayoría blanca con ligeros toques de color, azul, negro, dorado. Una casa contemporánea, de un estilo un poco ecléctico, mezcla de lo clásico, un poco sobrio y elegante, a la vez que un poco moderno".

¿Os parece que lo logré? ¿o me he desviado mucho de la idea inicial? Personalmente creo que la paleta no es tan blanca como pretendía pero creo que la esencia que buscaba la he mantenido. ¿Vosotros qué opináis?

I wrote this: "The idea is to try a different style, it will be a house mostly white with light touches of color, blue, black, gold. A contemporary house, in a slightly eclectic style, mix of the classic, a little sober and elegant, while a bit modern".


Do you think I did it? Or have I deviated a lot from the initial idea? Personally I think that the palette is not as white as I pretended but I think the essence that I looked for I have kept it. What do you think?

Y ahora os muestro las fotos. He ido añadiendo pequeños detalles aquí y allá después de haber mostrado algunas estancias, principalmente en el salón.

And now allow me to show you the photos. I have been adding small details here and there, after having shown some rooms, mainly in the living room.

Tenía muchas ganas de hacer esta planta, está muy de moda en decoración, finalmente no sé si es un ficus o qué pero me encanta, tengo un bello ejemplar en casa y quise reproducirlo. No pude dar con el color real y luego no quise seguir pintando y estropearlo, pero creo que la silueta de la planta y sus hojas sí quedaron un poco parecidas, ¿o no?

I really wanted to make this plant, it is very trendy in decoration. I do not know if it is a ficus or what but I love it, I have a beautiful specimen at home and I wanted to reproduce it. I could not match the real color and I did not want to continue painting and spoiling it, but I think the plant´s silhouette and its leaves look a bit similar, don´t they?

Y como es costumbre de este blog, cada vez que termino un proyecto me gusta hacer un pequeño sorteo. Esta vez no es la excepción. Hice algunos pequeños accesorios que son una muestra de algunos de los que utilicé en esta casa. Espero os gusten, sortearé unas láminas o cuadros, 3 plantitas en sus macetas, unos pintalabios o labiales y unos estuches de maquillaje.

And as it is customary on this blog, every time I finish a project I like to have a small giveaway. This time is not the exception. I made some small accessories that are a sample of some of the ones I used in this house. I hope you like them, there are a few pictures, 3 little plants in their pots, some lipsticks and some makeup sets.

El dormitorio y salita terminados/ The finished bedroom and lounge

Aquí estoy nuevamente. He terminado el dormitorio y la salita. Y con esto casi que he terminado esta casa moderna.

Os muestro primero la salita. Al final hice cambios a la distribución que ya había decidido, pues me mortificaba no darle el protagonismo que merecía el mural. Aquí tenéis la salita terminada:

Here I am again. I have finished the bedroom and the small lounge. With this I almost finished this modern house.

First let me show the room. In the end I made changes to the distribution that I had already decided, as it mortified me not to give the mural the prominence that it deserved. Here is the finished room:

Como veis he puesto la puerta a un lado, he hecho también una puerta en la abertura que da al cuarto infantil. No pensaba hacerle marco, pero creo que es necesario, ahora necesito ingeniar la forma pues mis herramientas son rudimentarias y el marco tendrá que ser curvo. Pero eso quedará para otro día.

As you can see I have put the door on a side, I have also made a door in the opening that leads to the kid´s room. I did not plan to make a frame for it, but I think it is necessary, now I need to engineer how to, as my tools are rudimentary and the frame will have to be curved. But that will be for another day.

Ahora con luz. Ya sabéis la luz es la misma del dormitorio infantil y es una guirnalda de luces.

Now with lights. You already know the lights are the same as the kid´s bedroom, they are a light garland.

El cráneo pintado es un recuerdo de mi reciente viaje a México. Y las conchas son recogidas por estos mares.

The painted skull is from my recent trip to Mexico. And the shells I have collected from the sea.

El espejo es de Drora, no es precioso? las estanterías son de MiniModernStyleShop, el pequeño bol con tapa en marrón con círculos es de Birgit, regalo de Navidad, una pequeña maravilla, la piña son unas pegatinas regalo de Carolina, y el resto de accesorios los hice yo.

The mirror is Drora, isn´t it beautiful? the shelves are from MiniModernStyleShop, the small brown bowl  with circles and a lid is Birgit, a Christmas gift, a little wonder; the pineapple is made with  stickers, a gift from Carolina and the rest of the accessories are made by me.

El bonito cojín de letras es un regalo de Solaire y el letrero de home sweet home es de MiniModernStyleShop, es precioso.

The pretty cushion with letters is a gift from Solaire and the home sweet home sign is from MiniModernStyleShop, it's beautiful.

Ahora os muestro el dormitorio. Como sabéis, tuve problemas con la moqueta por lo cual hice varias pruebas para evitar tener que comprar una nueva y utilizar materiales que ya tenía.

Now I want to show you the bedroom. As you know, I had problems with the carpet so I did several tests using materials I already had to avoid having to buy a new one.

Una moqueta en azul marino arriba y debajo, un suelo de corcho.

Los dejé ambos varios días intentando que me gustaran, no hubo manera, me tocó comprar nuevamente la moqueta pues en mi opinión la habitación se ve mucho más bonita y cálida.

I tested them for a few days trying to like them, but I didn´t, I had to buy the carpet again as in my opinion the room looks much prettier and warmer.

Una composición de imágenes que me parece queda muy chula. No sabía que más ponerle a esta habitación y se me ocurrió buscar imágenes modernas y artísticas. Esto salió y me he quedado satisfecha.

El precioso cesto ya saben, me lo gané en el último sorteo del blog de Tere, qué suerte la mía, es una maravilla! Y la belleza de colcha es de Sulay, quien ya poco trabaja en 1:12 pero hace maravillas para Blythe.

This is a collage I think is very cool. I didn´t know what else to put in this room and then had the idea of looking for some modern and artistic images. This came out and I liked it.

That beautiful basket  is Tere´s blog latest giveaway which I won, lucky me, it's wonderful! The beautiful bed cover is from Sulay, who does very little 1:12 work nowdays but makes wonderful things for Blythe dolls.

Disfruté mucho decorando este tocador. El maravilloso frasco de la izquierda con su caja es de Rosa, las maravillas de joyas son de Feli (Fesaba), en la bandeja de frascos los hay de Birgit y de Axion, los polvos y el reloj son comprados y los estuches de maquillaje los hice yo siguiendo las instrucciones de una chica en Facebook. Es muy fácil, buscáis imágenes de estuches de maquillaje, los miniaturizáis e imprimís. Luego se pegan sobre cartoncillo, se pintan los bordes con rotulador y se les pone un poco de barniz de uñas. A mi me encantan, me parece que quedan muy graciosos. Los labiales también los hice yo, con broches de bisutería y palillos de dientes.

Ah y ese maravilloso espejo, que busqué por muchos días es de TemptingMiniatures.

I really enjoyed decorating this dresser. The wonderful bottle on the left with its box, is made by Rosa, the beautiful jewellery pieces are made by Feli (Fesaba); in the jars tray there are beautiful bottles made by Birgit and Axion, the powder case and the watch are purchases and the makeup sets I made myself following a tutorial of a girl on Facebook. It is very easy, look for pictures of makeup sets, make them to scale and print. Then glue them on cardboard, paint the edges with a marker and apply a bit of nail polish. I really like them, I think they are fun. I also made the lipsticks, with jewellery findings and toothpicks.

Oh and that wonderful mirror, which I searched for many days, is from TemptingMiniatures

Y ahora las fotos definitivas con luz. No entiendo como puedo hacer tantas fotos de unas habitaciones más bien pequeñas y sencillas jaja.

And now the final photos with lights on. I do not understand how I can make so many photos of some rather small and simple rooms lol.

Y como me olvidé un detalle, tocó hacer otras fotos. 😀

Espero os hayan gustado estas dos últimas estancias. En mi opinión siguen el estilo del resto de la casa y me quedo satisfecha. He intentado no recargarlas, pero seguramente, como siempre, habrá alguna cosita más que se irá añadiendo con el tiempo.

I hope you have enjoyed these last two rooms. In my opinion they follow the style of the rest of the house and I am satisfied. I have tried not to over accessorised them, but surely, as always, there will be some things that will be added over time.
