De regalos 2/ About gifts part 2

Hola!!

I will continue to show you the rest of the gifts I received for Christmas.

I already told you that I played Secret Santa in the forum. I had to send to Ilusion and this is what I sent her. An assortment of boards for her kitchens with fruits and vegetables made by my husband and that I mounted in different boards. I also included some small plates, a little plant and a version of the spice rack that I made for the first time for Rita's kitchen. I think she liked  her gift, I hope.

My Secret Santa was Palro and she also sent me very nice things. I loved them all and was very happy, see:

Everything is super nice and well done but I have to say that my favourites are that spectacular sign that will go in my modern home for sure, the tree made of signs is so cute, and a Harry Potter´s map !! I'm a fan of Harry Potter and it's fantastic!

Now I want to show you another gift, perhaps the most special one. My husband gave it to me. Surfing on Facebook I discovered two beautiful characters made by Andrea Lloyd Smith, the same girl who created Rebecca. My husband saw me sighing for them and he said, get them, they´re  yours, it's my gift for the 3 kings. Do you want to see them? They are lovely.

Ahhh, I cannot believe myself, I am so happy. But since I am the way I am, I thought that they deserve a little house of their own. I started looking at which of my 6 houses would fit them and the truth is that none of them are ideal in my opinion, perhaps the Andalusian house but it has some modern touches and a children's room, mmm, no. So I decided to give myself a gift lol. Looking for it, I found this little house that seems perfect to me and that I am already imagining.

No es perfecta? Hasta tiene luces!! Isn´t it perfect? It even has lights!

No importa, tiempo habrá.

It is a blank canvas, perfect for the ideas that I´m having. I think I have projects for a while. But first I have to finish my modern house, my OCD will not let me start something without finishing what I have in hand. It does not matter, there will be time.

For now, know that she is Rebecca's sister and together with her husband she has gone to visit her.

Arriving at Rebecca´s, can you see how elegant they are? (Oh, still no door, what a shame!)

Rebecca is welcoming them, she is so happy!

Of course they must have something, a rich coffee and "roscón de Reyes", which the date and occasion is perfect for.

But men, men are, so he does not want to miss his favourite TV show and has let the girls chat while watching a little TV.

In the meantime Rebecca and her sister start doing what they like best, pies! Here Rebeca teaches her secret to make the best kiwi pie.

And of course, they could not miss a look at Rebecca's conservatory, where she proudly shows her  sister her latest plants and botanical experiments and gives her some cuttings to take home.

I guess you noticed that Rebecca's sister and her husband still do not have a name, I have several candidates, but I still do not decide, Magola, Carmen, Aurora, Victor Manuel, Toño, Anselmo, Tulia, Pepe. I want a name that is very typical of the time of my childhood, the names of our grandparents.

No creen?

Also I do not know if you have noticed, but this blog turned 2 years last January 15, 2 years! Now I publish a little less than at the beginning but this blog is still alive and kicking. So it has occurred to me that the lack of name for these two fabulous grandparents and my blog´s Anniversary is the perfect excuse for a giveaway. Don´t you think?

Entonces hagámoslo, no?

Then let's do it, right? It is ALMOST the same as always, be followers of this blog and leave a comment, but please include your name suggestions for my grandparents. I will ONLY include comments with suggestions to make it different. The gift is a surprise, I'm on it, lol. Nothing fancy, a small little thing but with affection. Next Sunday, January 27, I will pick one comment among those who have left their suggestion. A little surprise that I will show you then.

Nos vemos pronto. Un abrazo.

See you soon. Big hugs.

Alex.

  2. Congratulations for your blog 2 years anniversary! Also for your wonderful gifts, especially the two fantastic dolls.
Sorry, can't help you with names, Raquel was my grandmother's name and she was descendant of a long Spanish line of ancestry, so it's an old name.
Thank you for the surprise giveaway. The link will be on my blog.
    Hugs, Drora

  6. I loved reading your blog, Alexandra! Your new characters look just perfect in their setting as do the fruit and vegetables you sent me. The frying pan went into one house that already had the bacon and eggs set up on the table and the veggies and fruit into a second house where the grandma was preparing Xmas dinner. They went into action immediately and are well-loved. Many people have commented upon them. Enjoy your new house! We have just down-sized and moved so I am having to give them away, not purchase them. It is a heart-wrenching chore but I have kept my favourites and love my hobby!

  19. Okay... this will be a first draw for many many months that I'm gonna try my luck with and first for this year - let see were my luck takes me ;)
Such nice couple you have there - so the names... hmm... cause every woman deserves to treated like a princess I think the lady should have and name like it so Aurora or Belle, and for that man should have name fitting for prince like Philip or Victor...or they (=women) should be treated like flowers so Rose or Lily or Lila (for lilac) or maybe go to direction or jewelry like Ruby.. or to Mythology / fairytales - something like Aries and Diana.. Zeus and Hera might be too much..??
    Oh boy... I'm not much of a help aren't I :/
But those came to my mind..
Would LOVE to take part in your draw - hope you'll count me in.
    Hugs, Irina

  22. Congrats on two years of blogging, on a wonderful new house project, and on the new dolls! I love the house, and the dolls are just wonderfully charming!
There was an old British show called Keeping Up Appearances. It was incredibly funny, and so I am going to suggest the names of the characters for your couple. Hyacinth for the lady, and Richard for the man. Good luck to all in the contest, and have fun planning all the things you'll do to this incredible house!

  24. Congrats on two years of blogging, Alexandra!
You've got wonderful gifts, love those dolls and reading their story. They will get a wonderful house, so nice you can create your own world for them, isn't it?
I won't participate in your giveaway, I never do. It has nothing to do with you, but this way others can get my chance ;)!
I finally succeeded to find your blog and also for subscribing myself for becoming a follower of your blog. But then it happened again: it's not visible (unfortunately I have problems with blogger since years, especially in subcribing on new blogs :( ). BUT the good thing is: your updates will show up on my readerslist....
    Hugs, Ilona

  26. I was just enjoying the lovely gifts you have given and received for Christmas and then this… please tell your husband that he made a very good job when spoiling his wife for Christmas! ;O) This couple is awesome in any way, so full of character (it made me smile that "Mr. X" is watching TV - I bet Spanish Soccer league - while the "girls" are exchanging cake recipes). I can understand that you fell in love with these two at first sight and their family relation to Rebecca as sister and brother-in-law is a great idea. And how exciting - a new house for them. I'm already looking forward to know their names - but I fear I have to surrender when it comes to suggesting old fashioned Spanish names… ;O)

    Besos
