These days I am in the mood to do small projects and little things only. It always happens to me when I have an arduous task ahead, I look for ways to avoid it. It is now the turn of the façade and the roof of Rebeca's house and the desire to do so is hidden; so in the meantime I am distracting myself with mini-projects: Do you see Carmen's pot?

Since I saw them I fell in love, but I did not have enough luck to find the special rattle to make them,  which, by the way, I had never seen in my life before. Well, recently I saw it and immediately knew that I had to make my pots following Carmen's fantastic tutorial.

Quedaron preciosas!! al menos para mis ojos. ¡Gracias Carmen!
They came out great! at least to my eyes. Thank you Carmen!

Carmen asked for a glue for metals because she cannot find one that works for her. I got the one on the photo, which I ordered from this page and so far it has been useful for glueing metal objects together.

My pots are already displayed in two of my kitchens. The third one I am saving for my next project.

¿No se ven geniales? Don´t they look great?

I think you know that I love orchids and I've already made some miniature attempts. However, I do not have the proper punches and so far no specimen of what I have done has left me 100% satisfied.

Recently Eloísa showed in her blog a small tutorial to make orchids. Hers are wonderful! She uses a butterfly punch, and I have one! so I set out to do it, improvising a bit with the leaves punch that you see in the photo, of which I only used the top 3 leaves and a small flower as center (which somebody gave me pre-cut)

And here there is the result, comparing it with my last acquisition in real life. I love orchids in any size. Thank you Eloisa!

¿Qué opinan?/ What do you think?

There are a few touches of  green missing, but I like them a lot.

And finally I want to show you my contribution to a joint scene that we are planning in the forum. Carolina will be responsible for making the scene, and I'm already crossing my fingers to be the winner because you cannot imagine the wonders of minis that everybody have made.. The scene will be an Old Wild West "General Store", isn´t it original ???

Esto he enviado yo.

This is what I sent. Made by me, only the newspapers (with printables from the Web, truth be told, it is not that I have designed, made the layout, etc., no). My husband made the knives, boxes and vegetables. The pans, barrels and sacks are bought.

Es todo por ahora. Les deseo un feliz fin de semana.

This is all for now. Have a nice weekend.

Alex.

  16. You made me smile with your "confession" that you keep being busy with the smaller things instead of starting with the big points on your to-do-list... I know someone else who uses this method. *grin* But your method to avoid getting started with the big tasks leads to wonderful results. Your pots look fantastic and bravo for your orchid. We call them "Schmetterlingsorchideen" in German which would be butterfly orchid in English - so what could be better to create one than a butterfly punch? ;O) You've made some fantastic contributions to this very interesting project, I hope we are going to see the finished result.

    Besos
