Calendario Adviento 2019/ Advent Calendar 2019
Hola!
This is the second year that I participate in the Advent calendar organized by Matxalen, to whom I am very grateful for her hard work and of course her confidence in me.
Today I am bringing a decorative shelf to organize wine bottles. The inspiration came from a real handmade piece that I saw on Facebook Market Place. I'll show you:
The materials we will need are:
Pieces in balsa wood with dimensions as shown in the photo.
Also 4 miniature wine bottles (there are better ones, these are the ones I had on hand):
And a cutter, a sharp object (a pen or a screwdriver may work), glue and dye for wood.
The first step after cutting the pieces is to make the holes. Be very careful or you will break the piece. Something that I learned from trial and error, is that you must cut the pieces with the longest side following the fibre of the wood, if you don´t it will inevitably break. Drill carefully with a sharp object, alternating from one side to the other. If you use bottles like the ones I used, these are the measurements:
If you use different bottles, make sure the holes are in the right place. I recommend that you do it as in the photo, so you can place the holes correctly:
Then dye the wood, in this step I decided to make another small 1.5 x 3 cm piece for the base.
I recommend putting the bottles in place before gluing the pieces. It will be more difficult after assembling the shelf and you risk breaking it or taking it off.
Luego pegamos todo y voilá!
Then we glue everything and voila!
Yo he puesto un saca corchos.
On the base you can place some glasses or other decorative elements. I have put a corkscrew.
At this point I thought I could make the bottles look nicer with authentic labels, so I searched the Web for some and made them small.
Aren´t they nicer?
And here it is on my house, do you like it?
I hope you liked the tutorial and you try to make it.
As I did last year, I will also have a giveaway; On December 23, I will choose the winner randomly between those who write a comment on this entry. The prize will be a replica of the shelf with bottles.
Felices Fiestas, nos vemos pronto! 🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄
